Our spacious home has 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths, rec. room, living room, kitchen, dining room, and a pool (open summer only.) The property feels like the country but is close to all the popular places in the area. The region is known for its wine trails, breweries, SIU campus, and the beautiful Shawnee National Forest. After exploring all day, sit out on the deck or roast marshmallows by the a fire!
Our house is located on a dead end road. You will see lots of deer and other small animals in the area. The property sits on an acre of land.

Summary: We really enjoyed our stay!! The house was clean, orderly, well supplied with everything we needed. Quality kitchen appliances. Well decorated and up to date. Would definitely recommend to others and will hopefully return sometime!

Summary: Very clean and welcoming!! Our family had a blast in the swimming pool and the kids loved the horse shoe pit. This house has every thing you could ever need from cooking to just relaxing. There’s plenty of things for the kids to do as well. The host was very informative about everything!! Definitely recommend trying it out!!!

Summary: Our small family met up with family friends for a week in this lovely house. We really appreciated the friendly and helpful attitude of the owners, including an information book with a little history of the house and labels on many switches. The kitchen was very well stocked, with a variety of pans and plenty of dishes. The kids enjoyed the foosball table and several board games that were available. The pool and covered deck in the back were a real bonus. Although the road behind the house was busier than we would have liked, the back yard is extensive, so the traffic didn't feel too intrusive. The layout of the inside of the house felt very convenient for our group as well. We would definitely stay here again!

Summary: We chose this house to be close to the Dragonfly wedding venue and it was perfect. It was a quiet single story home. Nice and open, with a great dining room. I would recommend!

Summary: I stayed here for my 31st birthday. I had so much fun. The instructions were precise left by the host. Great wifi. Secluded. Lots of acres. Quiet. It was clean. It was spacious. There is a TV and jetted tub in the bathroom. The place was almost perfect. The only con I have is that there is no TV and the kids room bunk bed or in the guest room. I wish it hadn't been too cold to swim in the pool outside because the aesthetics were awesome. My whole family loved it. We decided that this may be our new vaca1tion home when we come to see my mom's side of the family. You won't be disappointed.

Summary: We had a wonderful stay. I rented this property when we traveled to the DuQuoin State Fairgrounds for a softball tournament. The house was perfect for our family of six. The only recommendations that we have for improvements are 1) a light over the master bathroom vanity and 2) some sort of fan or something for the smaller room (with the bunk bed) as the top bed got too hot for my son. To adjust to the limited lighting in the master bath, I simply used the other bathroom. For the temperature issue in the smaller room, my son simply moved to the family room to sleep. The owners do provide an air mattress but he slept on the couch, which worked great for him. We were not bothered by these minor inconveniences and would stay again. Thanks for a great stay!
