Summary: This was the most beautiful spot to gather family and enjoy quality time together... My daughter summed it up perfectly when she said that "most times the 'borrow house' is where we sleep while we are exploring in a new place, but this one is the exploring part of our vacation too." :) We hosted family members from ages 2 to grown and never were at a loss for entertainment or creature comforts. This home is so thoughtfully stocked. Games, books, telescope for stargazing, every kitchen gadget we could ever need, kayaks and canoe and paddle boat to fully enjoy the lake and so many lounge and bunk spots. Our large group was able to hangout comfortable and just enjoy time together. The duck felt like our vacation mascot- swimming alongside our canoe and hanging out as we hung out outside. Such a beautiful trip- thank you!

Summary: We were in the area for a family wedding. The birdhouse was a good home base for our family. We had everything we needed to make meals, sleep, and spend quality family time together. The hosts were very responsive. The property is as described. We will definitely look to come back during warmer months.

Summary: My husband and I brought our adult kids and 6 grandkids. Ranging from 70 years to 3 years. Plenty of room for 15 of us. Beautiful weather and wonderful little lake for our tribe. Was so relaxing with something to do for everyone. Owners were great with communication. Everyone loved it.

Summary: We are a group of friends who travel together every summer with our families. The house was great with plenty of space to hangout, play and sleep. The lake is awesome with plenty of activities for all to enjoy. The kids especially loved paddle boarding and swimming to the sandbar! Life vests must be worn as the lake gets very deep, but the kids did great and it helped give peace of mind. Communication with Jennie was excellent. We’d love to come back!

Summary: Our vacation at this property was awesome! The house was perfect for our family's annual summer get-together. There was plenty of room and the setup with bedrooms and bathrooms was exactly right for our 3 adult kids and their families and us. The lake is beautiful and crystal clear but small enough to keep an eye on things. The hosts were great to work with in all aspects of our stay. Their communication was top-notch and unbelievably fast. Check-in and check-out was very easy. The amenities and extras really enhanced our stay. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed. There was even enough wood for the fires we had almost every night. We are so happy we found "The Birdhouse"!

Summary: This was our first ever "family" vacation with our adult children. There was plenty of room for everyone, and we spent the days mostly outside. We had lots of privacy, and were able to boat and fish. It was a great experience.

Summary: The Birdhouse is, in a word, stunning. The cabin is very well appointed and we didn’t lack for anything. The location is perfect. The lake is crystal clear and my nephew caught an impressive amount of fish in a short period of time. The booking process was easy. The owners are very communicative and they responded within a few hours of each contact. I’d rate the entire trip from booking to check out a 12 out of 10.
