Summary: What a spectacular property. The drive up to the home is breath taking (and not far from the GTA!). The home itself is a work of art, with a rich history. You can tell the owners really love their property. The property itself is well stocked for anything you could need from towels to toys (great for the three little ones we had!) to kitchen needs. We had fun using the Pizza oven for the first time. The beachy area was fantastic and the beds were comfy. By far the best cottage we've been to! My one (very minor) complaint, is that there isn't anywhere to store food other than leave it on the counter as all the pantry spaces are marked as private. Thank you for a wonderful getaway!

Summary: Our family of 3 just had a wonderful week at this home. The property is so unique, both inside and out; amazing craftsmanship in its 1999 construction. The outdoor kitchen was a great feature (including gas bbq that came in handy too!) and we had a lot of fun trying the pizza oven. The water quality was great (including for drinking). We spent a lot of time in the kayaks and using the water trampoline - the lake is the perfect size. We didn't try fishing but saw many people fishing on the lake so it must be very good. The home is extremely clean (especially for a cottage) and we did our best to keep it that way. The temperature in the home was extremely comfortable even on several very hot days. The fans throughout we're appreciated. Various helpful and unexpected conveniences like coffee filters, night lights and a towel drying rack were all appreciated. The kitchen was well-stocked with plenty of plates, cups, flatware, etc. The small appliances were all in new-like condition including an icemaker. The beds were comfortable and plenty of towels were provided. The nearby general store with LCBO (5 minutes away) was great a quick stop and there are larger stores and markets about 15 minutes away. Plenty of books, DVDs,Netflix, games, puzzles, water toys and yard toys for a great variety of entertainment. The home is very large with many quiet sitting places to enjoy both inside and out. This is a bird watcher's paradise for sure; don't miss the multiple large heron-type nests atop the hydro poles on the road to the cottage. Truly a wonderful experience!
