This is a spacious 800 sq. ft. lower level walk-out apartment. It is located on the shores of magnificent Lake Superior and is only steps from the beach. Beach umbrella and chairs, fire pit and wood, an outdoor bistro table, Weber grill with charcoal are all provided. The apartment has an efficiency kitchen and a private entrance with your personal key.
It features a large flat screen TV, premium channels, pool table, elliptical bike, bathroom w/electric sauna, and a kitchenette. There is a lovely private queen size bedroom featuring high quality ironed sheets.In addition, there is an electric fireplace and high-speed fiber optic wifi available for your use.
This property is located 15 minutes from Munising and the famous Pictured Rocks where you can enjoy hiking, biking, kayaking, and picture taking. Grand Island has hiking trails, sea caves, and waterfalls. Both sites are famous for their brilliant colored sandstone cliffs. Munising Bay has a lovely harbor, restaurants, microbreweries, and free concerts in the park on Tuesday evenings.
The quaint city of Marquette is about 35 minutes away and is home to Northern Michigan University. Its locations in the harbor makes for a very picturesque setting. There you can find several breweries, restaurants, and shops. If golf is your passion, there are three courses nearby: Pictured Rocks Golf Course in Munising, Grey Walls in Marquette, and Sweetgrass in Escanaba.
If fishing is your thing, there are two charter boat companies in Shelter Bay about 2 miles west of the property which offer full and 1/2
day excursions. There is also a public boat launch less that a mile east of the apartment, so you're almost certain to come home with dinner.

Summary: This is a perfect place to stay in and around AuTrain. The view from the home is beautiful along with access to the water Julie & Bob are the perfect hosts. They make your stay special with caring for your comfort and visit with many extras - breakfast for your first morning, wine and treats. The home is beautiful & meticulous and has more items than one could ever need. The bed is extremely comfortable Their attention to detail is in every aspect of their place. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay or more wonderful hosts.

Summary: This was a fantastic stay. The view and location were perfect for what we wanted to do on this trip. It is close to activities like pictured rocks and has lots of good dining options if you prefer eating out. It was a little different staying in the house with hosts but there is an easily accessible private entrance and the back yard area including a deck overlooking the lake and a private beach were left all to us during the stay. A nice boardwalk around to the entrance made loading and unloading the car easy. There were lots of extra amenities including a sauna and a pool table. The hosts gave us tons of good information and even had wine, chocolates plus breakfast food stocked in the refrigerator.

Summary: Their place was perfect for our UP get-away: the location right on Lake Superior was magical. We swam, enjoyed the sun from their beach chairs and, checked out all of the beautiful rocks on their beach. The rental was clean but homey. We could tell it was a place they cared for and enjoyed spending their time in in the off-season. More amenities than we could’ve ever hoped for including tons of two player games, A SAUNA, exercise equipment, a nice TV, and wine and chocolates on arrival. Definitely recommend this place to any and all hoping to have a relaxing and/or activity-filled vacation.

Summary: The apartment was simply amazing! The attention to detail, the view, the amenities, all wonderful! A bottle of wine and gourmet chocolates awaited our arrival. I highly recommend this apartment. So many fun things to do in the area. The hosts share their "little slice of heaven" with their guests.

Summary: This property was exceptional! The bed was comfortable and the bedroom large enough to spread out all of our luggage for easy access. The living room and fireplace were cozy with the sound of the Lake Superior waves crashing in the background. The suana was relaxing and easy to use. The beach was sandy and only a few steps away with excellent views of the islands, and wood/kindling was provided for the beach fire pit. To top it all off, the owners provided breakfast food for the first day and a bottle of wine with chocolates!
