4 Bedroom Villa in Sveti Bartol, Motovun

The country house "Villa Sandri" offers accommodation for 8 people (4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and an additional toilet). There is a living room with fireplace, large dining room with kitchen, playroom plus a home cinema with theatre seats. Air conditioning and free WiFi throughout the house. Outside you will find a large terrace, partly covered, with a fantastic view and a pool of 8 x 4 meters. The coast with its many beaches and picturesque villages is 25 minutes by car.
For the use of the home cinema you need a laptop with HDMI connection. Amazon, Netflix etc. or your own films, anything can be screened.
You have your own charging station available in the parking lot. The charging costs (€0,45 per kWh) are calculated afterwards and settled with the landlord.
The country house "Villa Sandri" is fully equipped, especially the kitchen (renewed in 2025). It has tasteful furnishings, comfortable bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The house was built and furnished not only as a rental property. It is fully equipped as a normal family house because it is only rented out when the owner is not using it. The house is located in a quiet location in the Mirna valley on the hill of San Bartolo, overlooking the picturesque town of Motovun. The nearest settlement is about 300 meters away. In the immediate vicinity there are vineyards, woods, fields and an old church with cemetery.
Villa Sandri has been rented out part of the year for 20 years now and there have not really been any dissatisfied tenants so far. Bookings take place directly with the owner of the house.

Summary: We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful villa. It was a great space to hang out in, cook, swim, read and even bake! Its so quiet and in a beautiful rural area a stones throw away from Motovun and lots of other places of interest. We loved our morning walks in this garden of eden abundant with flora and fauna. EV charging at the house was a real bonus too. Thanks so much to our hosts for providing the perfect place.

Summary: We booked Villa Sandri for two weeks. Our son and daughter, and their families joined us to help us celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. The Villa exceeded all expectations. Beautifully situated in the country with amazing views, the villa met all of our needs, and more! We used the pool everyday, and ate all of our meals outside under the portico, which is surrounding by flowering plants. We have used VRBO many,many, times. This stay, was by far, the best EVER!

Summary: Our group of 8 friends thoroughly enjoyed this lovely home. The owners have restored a very old property, giving it all modern conveniences but preserving the character of the place. Clean, equipped with everything you need, and exceptionally quiet location. Communication was fast and easy. Definitely recommended.

Summary: We were two families (4 adult and 5 kids) and the house was perfect for that. The house had everything we needed and was close to everything (with a car of course). The space outside with the pool and the views was the best thing about it. The only little thing that wasn't 100%, was that the aircondition on the top floors was broken and it was really hot in the nights. Except for that, i will give it my biggest and warmest recommendation.

Summary: We all had a fantastic holiday. The villa and pool was wonderful and catered for all our needs. The Cinema room and pool kept the children entertained. The fantastic outside seating and eating area was perfect. 10 minute drive to local shops. Peaceful, relaxing holiday with beautiful views -would definitely recommend it.

Summary: We had a wonderful week at Villa Sandri. It is a really comfortable house, cleverly restored with every amenity a family could need. It is private, but not terribly remote, spacious without being too big and the terrace faces south and west so catches the sun all day right around to sunset. it is quite close to the charming village of Motovun, which has several dining options (Mondo was our favourite) although this is a little too far for a leisurely stroll despite being visible from the house. There is much to see and do in Istria and the coast is an easy drive with lots of locations to choose from,
