Surrounded by an expanse of water and open farmland, Jane Lowe Estate is a secluded property that will comfortably sleep 12+ guests, situated on a six-acre stretch on the banks of Harris Creek, nestled between St. Michaels and Tilghman Island.
Discover the serenity of the Chesapeake Bay, watching blue herons, bald eagles and osprey from your front window. Lounge by the large, newly installed salt-water swimming pool (in season), fish, crab or sun from the platform dock, kayak, play lawn games and watch the sunset from the private beach or hot tub.
The houses have everything you need: areas to lounge, nooks to read, a massive game room with a pool table, poker table, bar, arcade and casino games and kids games. Summary: My family enjoyed our stay at the Jane Lowe Estate. The home and the “barn” were roomy and well appointed. The game room was wonderful! The view over Harris Creek provided spectacular sunrises and sunsets. We all enjoyed the pool and the hot tub, and our young grandkids loved playing at the shore discovering snails, tadpoles, frogs and minnows. Good fishing on the nearby Tilghman Island charter “Working Girl”, from which 7 of us caught our rockfish limit. Doug Stewart of Bistro St Michaels came to us with his famous crab cakes and prepared our day’s catch deliciously (best rockfish ever!). All in all, a great time on the Eastern Shore!

Summary: We came to St. Michael's for a wedding and could not have asked for a better property for pre-wedding pool hanging. The house was adorable - it is perfectly asthetically St. Michael's farmhouse. It fit 5 couples very comfortably and 1 8-week old baby. Pool was a hit - perfect tempurature. Couldn't have asked for better weather. You cannot beat the views on this property! Great authentic Eastern Shore Farmhouse - will be coming back!

Summary: We booked this property to celebrate a birthday with a group of friends and their children. Heather and Ryan were prompt and very helpful with all their communications, which made it easy to find things and ensure we were all set in the barn and farmhouse. Everyone enjoyed themselves hanging outside on the dock, enjoying the fire pit, and playing an assortment of games in the well-stocked game room. Many folks in our party want to come back, and our only recommendation is to remember this is a rural setting. Bugs, (harmless) snakes, and all the charm and funk of older houses is to be expected.

Summary: We enjoyed our quiet trip outside St. Michael’s in this remote getaway. This rural property had lots of little critters to watch and our puppy loved running around the large yard and swimming in the creek. Unfortunately the pool had a leak due to a ripped liner and we chose not to swim over concerns with it but, the kayaks were a hit with the 4 teenagers that were part of this trip. The owners were responsive to any concerns we had and very professional to work with. If the pool is repaired, we certainly would consider another visit!

Summary: Our family enjoyed this property on our vacation. It would have been nice if the pool had its new liner but we all enjoyed it just the same with the very hot temperatures. The location is amazing we loved its closeness to St. Michaels. All of the adults enjoyed the game room in the barn a lot of fun memories were made.

Summary: Our overall experience was positive. A few hiccups need attention based on the fee being charged: I needed to call the owner after we arrived for access codes and property instructions. I notified the owner that the outdoor patio furniture cushions were missing and the pool automatic cleaning system was not running. The pool contractor arrived on Monday. Later in the week we discovered that the farmhouse oven wasn’t working and we believe the A/C condensation drain in the farmhouse kitchen might have been clogged. These weren’t deal breakers because most of our meals were prepared at the barn kitchen; which was a great kitchen. I believe bikes were advertised but we did not find any as the garage was locked. We brought our own so again not a problem for us. The kayaks and related equipment were in the marsh along the creek which should be reevaluated for access and cleanliness, especially the life jackets. We are familiar with this area of Maryland and stay in the area frequently. Over all we had a great time. These couple of issues if addressed will help make this a favorable destination for other vacationers in the future. This was an excellent location on the Eastern Shore.

Summary: We had a wonderful time with several adults and children. Great location, very quiet, lots of space. Having two different houses let us spread out. Large pool. Kayaking. Close drive to St. Michaels. Whitman Wharf Seafood shop is right down the road with a good selection of seafood. Highly recommended for a family or group trip.

Summary: Beautiful setting. Location was serene and private. Lots of outdoor spaces for quiet reading and reflection. The appliances were nice. Two gas stoves and two bottom freezer refrigerators. The range in the barn needed to be leveled as baking and cooking was uneven as a result. Combining both houses was very good for the 8 adults. One couple did not come and with mobility issues it would have been difficult to navigate the space. We cooked a main meal everyday and had to bring kitchen utensils from one place to another to eat together in the barn. A few things were disappointing. Internet was very slow. The pool was not ready, the hot tub was not hot. One Outdoor sitting area outside the farm house had no cushions. Only six dining chairs in the barn where we all gathered for dinner. We brought 2 folding chairs which should have not been necessary . No extra chairs were available in the property even though we requested that that be addressed before we arrived. There was not enough hand soap in bathrooms or hand dish washing soap that we were told was provided. There were no beach towels for 10. Since pool and hot tub were not ready for our May 15 arrival it wasn’t that big a deal but be advised of this later in summer. Some air conditioners were not working. Seemed like property was not completely ready for us to fully avail ourselves of all the amenities that were listed. We were able to work around these inconveniences but for the price we expected full access to all the property had to offer. Being good friends were adapted but it would have been nicer if that had not been necessary. Some safety concerns regarding extension cords under rugs and lots more extension cords for tvs, etc from a single outlet in several areas of the farm house.

Summary: This property was ideal for us to attend a combo family wedding/family reunion. The location was close to the wedding venue at the Wylder Hotel, the two-house arrangement, expansive grounds, kayaks, paddleboard, tether ball, fire pit, hot tub, and plenty of area for curious kids to explore.
