Summary: We spent a very comfortable week in this lovely house. Alfonso, the owner, was a great host and was always responsive and helpful. The area where the house is located seems undiscovered but very beautiful and remains unspoilt by tourists. A day trip to Rome was very easy via a nearby railway station (€6 return). We are a family of 5, with three teenage/20's sons. We enjoyed the pool and ate all of our meals on the spacious balcony. The only things that could have been better were the coffee machine, which would only make a max of 2 cups at a time, and also there were no baking trays for cooking in the oven. We would definitely go back to Alfonso's house if we were visiting this area of Italy again.

Summary: We were two families staying in this beautiful house in these nice surroundings just south of Rome. We were warmly welcomed by Family Alfonso Mauro, and we enjoyed the beautiful country side and the nice facilities; pool, tennis court and a fantastic Italian garden. The apartment worked well for two families. Everything was nice and clean and Mr. Mauro even managed to rent an additional cottage close by for our son and his girlfriend - very romantic. Driving 10 minutes, jump on the train and you are in the center of Rome just an hour later. A great vacation, we saw everything of Rome and enjoyed the Italian country side. We look forward to come back - Thanks! 2 x Family Buus

Summary: Our family had a wonderful holiday staying at Alfonso's villa . Italy was beautiful, the people were lovely. Alfonso and his family were all very helpful , they took us to the supermarket as soon as we arrived as we hadn't hired a car straight the way. The villa was really lovely, I would definitely recommend staying there. The children loved the pool, and the tennis court.

Summary: Our family with three children (ages 4-11) spent a great short break at Alfonso's Villa. We stayed for five days at Lariano on our way from Rome towards Ischia and Capri and really enjoyed it. The apartment was clean, spacy and had a kitchen well equipped for making breakfast and lunches. The village of Lariano did not provide too many options for dining, but the few restaurants within walking distance suggested by Alfonso provided great Italian food. Alfonso and his family were ready to help if you wished, but gave you the full opportunity for privatness if that was what you wished for. We specifically enjoyed the pool and tennis / football court. Rarely you get a chance to play and swim with your kids alone, in a such of a peacefull environment at any time you wish. The tennis / football court was quite well shaded, enabling you to play also during the mid day. The pool wasn't too large, but it was clean, had a few nice toys to play with and our kids really liked it. After a really hectic year, and after Rome and in preparation for again busier places in Italy, we were really only after for a possibility to enjoy nice and clean facilities, sports, quietness and good food for a few days, and we got all them. Would recommend Alfonso's for all with similar needs.

Summary: We loved our three week holiday with our 3 children in this beautiful spacious villa near Rome. A large living room, three bed rooms, two bath rooms and a beautiful terras overlooking the hilly surroudings of Lariano. Our host was more than willing to help us out with every question we had. The place was the perfect spot to relax after a day visiting Rome. Because it is outside of Rome you do need a car to get to all the sightseeing spots in the neighbourhood. We visited Rome, castel Gondolfo, Sermoneta, Pompeii and Herculaum (2 hour drive) After a visit our childres loved coming home and take a swim in the swimming pool which was well kept and clean. The owner lives on the first floor, the whole second floor was ours. There were enough sheets and towels. I could even do the laundry! The biggest surprise was the Wii for the kids. Highly recommended and a perfect place for people who love the city and like to relax.
