Our newly completed cabin is ready to go. Our country retreat is just outside the world famous Lava Hot Springs! Our custom-built, cozy (400 sq. ft.) cabin will comfortably sleep 4 people. Escape the bustle of Lava Hot Springs (15 minutes) with beautiful mountain views (in a country farm setting) and yet close enough to run to town for some more fun. Our 2 bedroom (including the loft) 1 bathroom cabin is a perfect escape!
If you need more space we have another unit on site-sleeps 8.
The space
Our unique cabin retreat offers the perfect getaway. Whether it's an outdoor adventure with hiking, 4-wheeling, hunting, or mountain biking or simply a quiet escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. This cabin has something for everyone.
You'll love the hammocks, covered picnic table, fire pit/grill and views of the national forest all around. Bancroft is a Union Pacific main railroad route. If you love trains, you'll love our place. The train tracks are about 3 blocks from our cabin. There are frequent trains that pass by during the day and the night.
This is a shortened loft. There isn't room to stand in the loft. Bedding, pillows, sheets provided as well. You can pay for 2 extra guests, but we don't provide bedding or linen for the extra people. You can bring a sleeping bag or an air mattress if you'd like. The extra fee is for utilities, water, general wear and tear associated with extra people.
CAUTION: The stairs to the loft are steep and not suitable for children or adults with physical limitations. Do not allow children to use (unaided) or play on stairs. We are not responsible for any accidents or injuries.
Some amenities include DVD player, 55” TV, air conditioning, heating, and washer/dryer. This is a GREAT location to do much more than Lava Hot Springs. Relax in the courtyard area with BBQ grill/fire pit, hammocks and picnic table. The property is complete with 2 high-quality, queen mattresses plus a small kitchen. The loft upstairs overlooks the family room/TV area.
The refurbished farmhouse on site will be rented separately, but will share the outdoor common area (fire pit, hammocks, picnic table, etc.) with guests who rent this cabin.
Pack your swimsuit and make your way to our vacation rental near Lava Hot Springs, Idaho! Enjoy our brand new cabin with stunning mountain views. Unwind and make campfire memories on the courtyard patio with seating, BBQ grill and table. We are on the edge of the small farming and railroad town of Bancroft, Idaho (population 356). Embrace the laid-back lifestyle of a small town in a country setting. No need to trailer snow machines or ATVs. The property is right next door to national forest trails.
Bancroft is a quiet community with approximately 390 residents. Our town lies in the midst of the Caribou Highlands, surrounded by beautiful mountain scenery and productive fields of grain and potatoes. We are proud of our town and want all who visit here to feel of our warm country atmosphere.
LAVA HOT SPRINGS 3-Day Itinerary (here is what we like to do)
DAY ONE: Soda Springs area! Soda Springs Geyser Park. Hooper Springs Park. Golf. Visit Historic Chesterfield. Check-in to our cabin (after 4pm). Hamburger BBQ and relax in the hammocks. After dinner go to the World Famous Lave hot springs (hot pots, sunken garden). Back to the cabin and enjoy a campfire, smores, stargazing, then a movie.
DAY TWO: Lava Hot Springs pool (pack a lunch)! Pools, slides, diving platforms, etc. Enjoy delicious pizza in Lava Hot Springs at Royals and then ice cream at Sweet Stuff. After dinner take in a drive-in movie at the Idan-Ha Drive-In Theater (Soda Springs) or watch a movie at our place.
DAY THREE: Pack up/check out. Spend the day floating the Portneuf River at Lava Hot Springs! The 4 person tubes are safer, but the single tubes are more exciting. Also, South Bannock County Museum or Lava Hot Springs city park (5th and main).
We currently do not have WIFI/internet.
You could pitch a tent or bring your own bedding to sleep a couple of more people if necessary (additional cost).
