Just 1 mile west of Cadillac, 8 miles east of Caberfae Ski Resort, and just 2 miles north of M-55 near the Heart of the Manistee National Forest. Great for Summer and Winter Vacation Getaway! Lake Cadillac & Lake Mitchell out the back door for lots of Fishing, Boating, Canoeing, Kayaking, Ice Fishing & much more. Swimming in the water from your boat or a nearby public beach. Snowmobile Trail located 1 mile down the road. No wasting time loading and unloading sleds all day long. Just RIDE! Cadillac Snowmobile Festival just outside the front door. Top Notch SKIING & GOLF at Caberfae Resort (7 miles) & Crystal Mountian Resort (15 miles). (By the way staying at this Lake House is much nicer & less expensive than any small hotel room! Adventure Island Amusement Park with go-carts, bumper boats, water slides, mini-golf, & more (1 miles). Pine River canoeing, tubing, paddle board, rafting, & more (10 miles). Hiking & Hunting on the 1000's of acres of State land 1 mile down the road because it is located near the heart of the Manistee Forest. Steelhead & Salmon Fishing at Tippy Dam (15 miles). ORV trailhead about 5 to 8 miles away. Cross Country Skiing & Snowshoeing Morel Mushroom Hunting is some of the best in the area. Little River Casino (30 miles). Fire pit for those marsh mellows & other goodies. Walk to Downtown Cadillac for Festivals, Shopping, & just to enjoy the Old Town Charm. Watch a video from Movie Library of over 200 movies VHS player or use the High Speed WIFI. Enjoy the peacefulness of the area while reading a book & dangling your feet in the water. Summary: The cabin is quaint and small but had efficient use of the space. I should have asked that the beds be made up because I did want to use the property’s linens. We had to put the linens on the beds. The home had a lot of dead insects/flys in the tub/sink and floors that we had to clean up. The driveway wasn’t shoveled but the snow was only a few inches deep. The lockbox was hard to put back. The cabin was 19miles to Caberfae where we skied. The beds were comfortable and we enjoyed the dining room table and well stocked kitchen with salt and pepper. We had paper towel and quite a bit of toilet paper in stock. The cabin was reasonably priced for the holiday week.

Summary: We just had a short stay, simply a place to sleep. Main bed was squeaky, the water was slimy( too soft), and the bunk beds were difficult to make. Otherwise it was fine enough.

Summary: My husband and our kids(2 dogs) had an amazingly wonderful time. We got to watch baby robins leave the nest in the back one morning while enjoying coffee and the peacefulness of the neighborhood. It was super windy so we weren’t able to take the kayaks out but we did get some fishing done at one of the near by parks and off the back dock. One of the rainy days we enjoyed some good ol VHS classics(the collection is top tier). Definitely will be looking to stay again in the future.
