Summary: We thoroughly enjoyed our four night stay. The house is beautiful, clean, beds are comfy. Shane was incredibly easy to work with and sent a list of recommendations for the area. We will definitely stay again the next time we head to Hiawassee.

Summary: The cabin was very beautiful, and we loved how the owners decorated and furnished it. There were bedrooms and bathrooms in each of the three levels, which was very convenient for our elderly. There was enough space for our family (mom, dad, grandma, grandpa and two teenagers). The views were spectacular from the balconies and the fire pit area. The road to the cabin was steep, but we had no problem with our minivan. The owners clearly communicated with us, and were very helpful. We look forward to visiting there again.

Summary: The cabin was amazing! It was clean, it was in a perfect location and the owners were very helpful! The view is breathtaking and we had so much fun! Definitely would recommend and def booking again!

Summary: The cabin is exceptional and very well designed. The view off the back deck is immaculate and a great place to enjoy time with family and friends. The location is in close proximity to Helen, Brasstown Bald, and several other attractions. We will absolutely book again!

Summary: We rented Lazy Bear for our first wedding anniversary in October 2020. Shane (owner) was super friendly and provided lots of helpful information about the property and surrounding area. He was quick to respond to questions and was always accessible. When there was an issue with the heat, he was prompt in his response and quick to remedy the situation. The location and mountain views are spectacular from all three decks. With cooler weather coming, we enjoyed the fireplace inside and the fire pit outdoors during our stay. The kitchen was well-equipped. We cooked all of our meals there and had all that we needed. While there is a Verizon cell booster, you won’t have service on any other network (my wife has Verizon while I am still with AT&T, so she had service while I did not, and there is no landline). WiFi is excellent, though. We would love to come back to Lazy Bear again!

Summary: This is such a beautiful property. Every morning you roll over in bed to look at on the wondrous mountains, sometimes seeing that you are in the clouds or even above them. The cabin is super clean with a kitchen with that can actually be cooked in and enough dishes to feed an actual family. We stayed at the cabin to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and had friends and family join us. The cabin is private, but not secluded. Minutes away from Hiawassee or Hayesville, and Helen, Franklin and other towns are within easy driving distance.The road is steep, but paved and no one had any issues with getting up the hill. My only regret is that we were so busy everyday, we never had a fire in the fire pit with the incredible view!

Summary: This home is extremely nicely decorated and has everything you need for a relaxing stay. There is a gas grill and beautiful patio with a fire pit, as well as a washer/dryer and a wet bar/family room on the lower level. We spent most of our time on the balcony enjoying the view. The drive from the main road gets steep at the top, but it's all paved. The owner responds quickly to any questions.

Summary: What a beautiful home in the mountains the Harrelson's have. The drive to the cabin was steep but paved. The view was incredible and inside was immaculately clean. We had everything we needed in the kitchen to prepare each days meals and the fire pit for evening s’mores was the perfect way to end each day. We almost didn’t book because of a lack of reviews but we are so happy we did, and will certainly be rebooking in the future.

Summary: This property was absolutely gorgeous! Everything is in new condition and is top-of-the-line. We really enjoyed all the furnishings and decorations. The beds were very comfortable, and the view out the back deck was priceless. You can tell a lot of thought went into preparing this home for guests. We wanted for nothing. I let the owners know that if they ran a hotel business it would be second to none! You can’t go wrong with this rental. They were extremely welcoming of pets and we respected the property as such. Thanks again Shane for the opportunity to rent your home. No disappointments here.
