Summary: We had a wonderful stay for 5 nights in October at this darling cottage in Normandy. The interior was spacious enough for 3 people. The beds were super comfortable. The kitchen did what we needed it to. The bathroom was large and there was ample hot water for showers. We loved having a small fire in the fireplace each evening! Our experience with the owner was all good. He lives in another house on the property, but was never intrusive. A bonus was our daily visits with the 2 resident cats and the little chicken. The house has a wonderful view over a marshland. Our one wish was for a maps showing hikes in he marsh, as there didn’t seem to be much information online. Overall, this stay exceeded my expectations.

Summary: We had a fantastic stay in this amazing house. Everything is very rustic and you fell like living in the 17 th century by having all the amenities of the 21 st century... furnitures are all very comfortable and the chemney was a big icing on the cake...so romantic...you will find everything you need in this house and Laurent is a very charmful landlord who welcomed us with a nice bottle of cidre and some tips for shopping local customs...his garden is made with all his heart and it is like paradise lying behind the house with such an amazing view to the scenery...there are also two cats to whom we fell in love directly...the bed and its sleepingroom is such a relaxing zone you might directly fell into sleep within seconds...I am so sorry for just only be able to give 5 stars for this lovely cottage, I rather prefer giving 100 stars...we surely will come back to this gingerbread house...thank you Laurent, it was an unforgettable vacation... Summary: A very unique and historic dwelling. Beautiful setting. Quiet country village. A little on the rustic side. If you are looking for creature comforts this will not be your cup of tea. Low ceilings. Limited updates.

Summary: We had a few amazing days in the cottage, which was absolutely perfect with all the amenities as advertised. Laurent is a charming host, and everything worked perfectly with regards to arrival and departure. The location is great with easy access to the beach towns and historical sights in Normandie. The garden is spectacular and a perfect place to relax and enjoy the view. We would definitely come back.

Summary: What a wonderful thatched cottage set among a delightful cottage garden. It did not disappoint and the owner was most helpful before we made the booking, during the booking process and during our stay. The view over the Marais Vernier and the Seine Valley are terrific. It was great to have a log fire. Beds were firm and very comfortable. Everything inside was in keeping withe cottage style. If you like a rural hideaway that is rustic then this is the place to go to. Thank you Laurent

Summary: We had a great time in the cottage. Very quiet and peaceful. The house has a wonderful garden. The communication with Laurent was very good. He always was within reach to help us. The bathroom and kitchen were well appointed. We had everything we needed. For me it was a liitle bit too rustic, because of this only 4 stars. but it is purely a matter of taste.

Summary: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Bouquelon. The old house is lovely as are the hosts. What a beautiful garden & the place was great for us to settle down and explore the surrounding Normandy. The only downside we encountered were that the floor got wet as it rained for a few days - it seems that water pushes from the ground (the area is near a swamp). That made it a bit uncomfortable as we travelled with a small baby crawling on the floor.
