Summary: Property is in an excellent location for exploring. Exterior/pool area is enchanting. Host was gracious and provided recommendations. However, property is not up to VRBO standards I have enjoyed in previous rentals. Kitchen utensils, linens, and cleanliness were less than satisfactory. Needs upgrading.

Summary: Le Clos des Crus is a beautiful and well-placed villa for people looking for a Roman-style habitat with stunning Indonesian artefacts built-in. The pool, though not huge, was enough to provide fun in the sun and a way to stay cool during the very hot temperatures we experienced this summer (>40 deg). The accommodation layout worked well for us - two grandparents staying slightly removed from the parents and youngsters, giving each a modicum of privacy. There was adequate parking for two cars right outside the property. The proximity to central Bergerac worked very well indeed and it was an easy walk over the bridge to reach the beautiful old town area with plenty of lovely shops and restaurants. The owner, Daniel, was very interesting, charming and welcoming. He was easy to reach and gave us good advice on places to visit. The only downside was the low height of some of the outdoor archways which occasionally proved hazardous for the taller members of our party.

Summary: A fantastic holiday with great memories made. Dan our host was fantastic even picking us up from the airport! We shared many a story over a bottle of wine during our stay. A truly unique property with so many interesting things, the gardens are its highlight - a tranquil oasis for relaxation Great location for walking into Bergerac!
