Negative: The location is beautiful, but I didn't know we were up on a hill, so walking to the nearby Vieux Lyon wasn't an option. But good public transportation available

Positive: This is a wonderful, easily accessible small apartment in a wonderful location. It has a small kitchen, a dining table, a comfortable terrace, a great, clean little shower room, a small washer for clothes, and is in the best, easiest, safest location.
Negative: We noticed the walls need to be repainted, there are some dings on the wall that have been patched in the wrong shade of purple, so if you're OCD that could drive you a little nuts. :)

Positive: We liked this apartment so much we stayed in it twice. :) We left Lyon to visit relatives in the countryside and then returned to the same rental apartment, so it was a very nice coming back to familiar surroundings. The apartment is small, clean, convenient to everything you need, and very easy to access as it is only steps from the double-gated secure front door.
Negative: The single and only thing that went wrong was a miscommunication that led to my family having to wait out in the dark and cold for about 45 minutes to get the keys. It was a small mistake (the owner mis-typed her son's phone number in a text and we weren't able to contact him to let him know we were there, and she was at work so she didn't see our messages), but after a long day of travel one of my two small children ended up crying and afraid. A very nice neighbor let us in the lobby so that we could warm up after about 30 minutes -- she knew about the rental but didn't have contact information for the owner. She was very sympathetic and kind. Eventually the son showed up and we were able to get inside.

Positive: Owners were helpful when we couldn't work out the washing machine. Secluded apartment and nice outdoor area. Apartment was very clean.
Negative: A few more toilet rolls required, shower wash/gel would have been great. Dishwasher soap for dishes. (Empty)

Positive: Nice apartment in good neighbourhood. Lovely private terrace to sit outside. Had everything we needed and close by to shops to make or buy dinner. Full size fridge. We loved staying in the Croix Rousse area even though it’s about 10 minute walk into the centre of Lyon down a steep hill with a bit of a trek back. Daily food markets in Croix Rousse were great, except Monday, and on Tuesday there’s a clothes and household goods market. Good supply of towels, tea towels and drying rack was appreciated after using the very good washing machine.
Negative: The stove top was a bit tricky to use but we got used to it after awhile. The toaster needs replacing because when the toast is ready the toast slips down inside an area where you can’t reach it unless you turn the toaster upside down….but these were minor things.
Summary: Lovely secure apartment with private terrace in great neighbourhood of Lyon.
