Positive: The great, simple, but spacious apartments with a big terrace (2nd floor) and a beautiful garden with a nice pool that lets you relax after the island exploration. You can't go wrong by choosing this place for a few nights. The lovely beach is nearby, and there is a great bakery and many restaurants and shops around. It is definitely a great and calm destination for exploring the north part of the island; however, a car is highly recommended.
Negative: The bathroom needs a bit of a renovation touch.

Positive: A really well laid out room that had everything. Great kitchen area, seating area outside and super clean. Room got made daily. Very comfortable bed. Location was near the beach we wanted to be in. Wouldn't stay anywhere else in the area as super cosy.
Negative: Nothing all good.

Positive: The cleaning ladies came in every day - emptied the bin , cleaned and tidied up where necessary , changed the towels practically every other day and sheets very regularly . What we particularly loved ( and we have never had this in any other accommodation anywhere) is a personal water filter system in our kitchen , therefore saving buying huge bottles of water and having to carry them back from the supermarket . We would also like to mention 2 excellent restaurants a couple of minutes walk from the apartments - Kimbo Lebanese kitchen , which is very reasonably priced , as well as La Payote ( more upmarket but lovely for a special treat ) . We loved the beautiful Mon Choisy public beach which is just under 1k away , as well as the local Cannoniers beach which is nearer .

Summary: The little guest house is just up our street and we are already planning a return visit in November

Positive: I was upgraded to the villa upon arrival, which was unexpected but appreciated. The decor of the villa was lovely. The owners and staff all really nice.
Negative: Out of the hotel's control, but there was construction from 8am to 7pm, which meant I couldn't enjoy the private pool/ garden of the villa due to the noise.

Positive: The accommodation was clean and felt safe. We stayed in a suite on the 2nd floor and liked having the balcony, where we ate and relaxed. The staff seemed nice enough and quite friendly. Parking was easy.
Negative: The communication before our trip was poor. My emails were left unanswered on more than one occasion and one fairly urgent email was answered nearly 2 weeks late, meaning that I ended up paying more than I intended due to a lack of information. We didn’t receive any communication to check our time of arrival and, in fact, when we arrived, we were shown to the wrong room - on the ground floor in a studio instead of on an upper floor in a larger suite. Luckily, once I was able to access wifi and check the room description, I was able to point out the error and it was corrected. Not the best first impression! From the reviews, we had (mistakenly) expected the accommodation to be more polished and to have a personal touch. Unfortunately, what we found was a place with no atmosphere - no background music by the pool, nobody readily available to provide information or advice. We felt so invisible at the accommodation that we regretted not simply renting an apartment, which would have been cheaper and probably more comfortable, as the facilities for those not having breakfast were fairly basic. The Mandala Moris was one of 3 accommodations we stayed at during our 2 weeks in Mauritius and unfortunately, it was the one we liked the least, both due to the quality of the accommodation and the value for money.
