Positive: The villa was comfortable, well stocked with crockery, cutlery , towels, linen and had aircon. It was very well kept and had a beautiful outside area, which was very relaxing and peaceful - the photos do not do it justice. The pool was also larger (6m x 4m) than it looks in the photos, which was a nice surprise. There were other activities to do, other than just the pool. Archery, darts, table tennis, hammocks, karaoke, fire pit, BBQ, punch bag, basketball and pool inflatables to name some and the sunbeds were in good condition and plenty of them! The surrounding area and lovely views were the mountains, with no other neighbours other than some cats and cows grazing. You will need a car! Marco, the host, was very friendly and accommodating and wanted to ensure we were happy and comfortable. He was very prompt with answering any questions we had and despite the language barrier, communication was good - thank you Marco! If you are looking for a remote, relaxing and peaceful place to stay that has full catering and you don't mind driving to restaurants (5 - 10 mins) or attractions (10 - 30 mins) then I would recommend Le Muse Country House.

Negative: Due to some bad weather, the Wifi was down for the first day or so - this wasn't a major issue but due to no reception (as in the mountains), it made it a little difficult to research the local area/restaurants or communicate with others. This was not Marco's fault and he worked hard with the internet company to fix it asap.

Positive: Everything! The property is absolutely gorgeous and has lots to do (beautiful pool, darts, archery, ping pong ++...)... there is even a karaoke machine and since your neigbors are not anywhere near you don't have to worry about the noise (or complaints about the bad singing ;). The house is also well-appointed, comfortable and clean. Marco and his wife were very welcoming hosts and even brought us some homemade jams and one day even some local pastries. The location is great when you like to be away from the hustle and bustle of the noise and crowds. Obviously you need a car if you stay here, and with that there are so many beautiful places to explore. Over 2 weeks, in between relaxing days on the property, we were able to visit: Taormina (a few times), Castelmola, Gole Alcantara, Mount Etna, the Valley of the Temples near Agrigento and Siracusa.

Negative: The only very minor thing is that a kettle to boil hot water would be good. Otherwise, we used a pot on the stove, which was also fine.
