Positive: The Cottage Althea is very comfortable, with two separate bedrooms and a large airy kitchen/dining area. The kitchen has everything you need for standard meal prep, but also Renata went above and beyond to bring home made dinners to our cottage so that we could enjoy them after our two very young children went to sleep. Direct access to a garden where there are tables to eat outside and lovely places to sit. The pool is directly available in this garden. We were invited up to spend time and enjoy the view in the main garden, which is accessible through a gate and where the rest of the B&B is located. The town is very small and the main focus is the Chateau. There’s a boulangerie close by for morning breakfast runs. Renata had wonderful recommendations for our family, and was so warm and welcoming. She and her family and friends have made this a truly special place to stay and explore the region.

Negative: Single bed a little small. The flow of hot water in the bathroom is weak and the towels a little rough. No coffee.

Positive: The property is gorgeous. It essentially is an extension of the extensive gardens at the Château in Villandry. Renata was a wealth of local knowledge and very helpful. Are you visiting Villandry or do you need a good base from which to explore the châteaux west of Tours? STAY HERE!
Negative: Nothing.

Positive: The property and the apartment we had very beautifully decorated and well equipped with anything you need. The look to the castle from the terrace is outstanding and you feel welcomed from the point you arrive. And yes, you feel the great French hospitality from the beginning. Very kind and supportive host which brings you uyoir breakfast each morning to the apartment.
Negative: Heating was not running in May although outside temperatures at night were still low

Positive: This lovely garden location, directly across from the Chateau Villandry, is in itself divine. The gardens cared for with love and expertise welcome visitors in like family. The location of this accommodation is IDEAL for touring the Loire. The community is quiet, beautiful, and walking distance to the Chateau Villandry and restaurants. The food provided allows the artistic presentation of the country style breakfasts and our evening meal upon arrival, which is arranged directly with reception at Le Petit Villandry. We were there for 5 nights, and it simply wasn’t long enough.
Negative: We loved every moment here.

Positive: Breakfast was provided by the host and was very tasty with home made preserves and cake. The location by chateau Villandry overlooked the chateau and gardens which was fantastic. The garden of the Petit Villandry were also very lovely and restful. The host also provided us with an excellent dinner and great advice about the area. The beds were very comfortable and well decorated.
Negative: The kitchen could have had some more equipment to enable simple cooking and some comfy armchairs - although these were provided outside. The shower and shampoo could have been in a refillable bottles rather than as sachets
