Positive: Easy to ski in and out, even for our 4yo. Note that the ESF children’s area is a little ski away and your little one will need to be reasonably competent to ski it, otherwise will need to walk down the slopes / take the bus
Negative: Need to take a bus to get to the 1600 centre if you don’t have a car. There is a shop onsite, but on the pricier side and narrower selection than eg a Sherpa. Not a problem, just need to plan a little in advance re shopping

Positive: Location was excellent. Ski in ski out. Ski rental shop within the apartment block so didn’t have to walk very far with boots and skis. Excellent locker room only a few steps from the slopes. Apartment was well-equipped and very comfortable for a family of four . Could have fitted another two in at a squeeze. Convenient epicerie/cafe again in the apartment block where we were able to purchase fresh bread, milk, wine…. We used the fondue set in the apartment one evening and the epicerie made us up a board of cold meats for a starter. Receptionist was very helpful . We found it everyone in the restaurants and on the slopes to be very friendly and helpful . Happy for us to practice our rudimentary French although most spoke English very well. Also enjoyed the swimming pool and especially the steam room and sauna . excellent value for money

Positive: We (my wife, daughter and I) had an excellent stay in this apartment on the fifth floor of Le Ridge. It looked out across the ski fields with partial mountain views from the large balcony. The apartment was very well appointed with good quality kitchenware to cook for a family. Le Ridge itself is a relatively new and really nice apartment building, sited a couple of hundred meters above Arc1600. We skied in and out every day. It was a short walk down the hill (10 minutes) to the shops and restaurants and a free shuttle ride back. There was also a small but truely excellent shop in the building selling all the basics (baguette, cheese, wine, basic fruit and veg, quick ready made dinners etc). The owner of the apartment was very helpful and ensured our stay was hassle free (thank you). I'd definitely come back.

Positive: The appartement was very clean and included all you can think off (towels, bed sheets, kitchen utensils etc). We enjoyed the balcony on sunny days. The location itself with respect to skiing is great; ski in-ski out. You can order bread and there is a ski rental within the same building.
Negative: the only downside I could think of is the location in respect to les Arcs 1600. It takes a good 15 min walk (especially back) to reach Les Arcs 1600. You can go by bus or car as well, which we did not...
Summary: fantastic location (ski-in/ski-out) and great and new appartement
