Positive: Very friendly hosts. Also speak English. Pet friendly. Near Verteuil-sur-Charente, a charming village with nice restaurants. Near canoe rentals, awesome for families. (Take the long option and picnic on the way!) Breakfast was fine but continental will never match English breakfast ;)
