Positive: Wow this place is such a gem! Marie and Geoff have renovated this historic home with excellent taste while maintaining its historic look and feel. Beautiful garden, delicious breakfast, and comfortable rooms. We will be sure to return and tell all our friends. Moustiers Sainte anne is only 10 minutes away so this is a great location! 10 stars!

One of the fascinating details is that the original owner made his fortune from faience, which adds an interesting layer to the castle’s rich past. The hosts, Marie and Jeff, were incredibly elegant and welcoming, making our stay even more special. I honestly felt like a princess there, surrounded by such beauty and warmth. And let’s not forget Rex, their charming cat, who is truly the king of the castle! In the morning, we enjoyed a delicious breakfast in the beautiful banquet hall, and Marie treated us to a wonderful Easter cake, which made the experience even more memorable. The castle is located near the stunning Verdon Gorge and Lake Sainte-Croix, making it a perfect choice for anyone planning to explore the area. If you’re looking for a peaceful and historic place to stay, Le Vieux Castle is the ideal getaway.

Positive: Very old building with nice legend and many authentic details you would hardly find elsewhere. Superb service, very warm, helpful and very good in communication owners, thank you Marie! Breakfast was nice as well, including homemade yogurt and jams. Easy parking.
Negative: May be little bit cold in the room (we didnt switched on radiator).
Summary: Perfect, would come back to feell this authenticity, total relax.

Rather than a brand-new luxury hotel, we deeply appreciate places that offer warmth and a story — and this place gave us exactly that. The hosts were incredibly kind, and the room had a beautiful French charm. Everything was very clean, and if we ever return to this area, we would definitely love to stay here again.
