Getaway to the country, yet close to it all! This Amish themed home was built by the Amish church for a widow. It is in the heart of Amish Country, Northern Indiana. Close to Middlebury, and Shipshewana Amish Country. Almost everything in the home was Amish made or comes from an Amish store, sale or our own Amish family. This place is unique in that you can sit in a rocker on the front porch just 28 steps to where the buggies pass, and watch Amish families live out their amazing normal daily activities. Surrounded by farmland, this is a peaceful retreat from the day to day busyness of life. You will be welcomed with a sweet homemade Amish sweet and fresh farm eggs and butter. Goshen, Middlebury, Elkhart, Notre Dame are all within close driving range. Includes a fire pit and paver brick seating area and wood.
Sit on the front porch and watch the buggies go by! Hear the roosters in the morning as and visit with the donkeys and cattle. Such a sweet, unique place with simple pleasures all around it, get back to the country! The perfect place to relax and unplug. This is for the whole House!
Just a few miles from Das Dutchman Essenhaus Restaurant and Bakery, 10 miles from the quaint shops of Shipshewana, and an easy 45-minute drive to Notre Dame (for the football fans). Summary: This was the perfect place to relax after our daughter’s wedding week! The home was clean and inviting and had so many extras to make our stay comfortable. We especially enjoyed sitting on the front porch and interacting with the sweet donkey on property.

Summary: Clean,comfortable and quiet break from the everyday hotel stays. Everything was as promised and some extras perks if you forgotten anything . This is worth the country drive check it out.

Summary: This was a fantastic stay. The scenery is gorgeous and the peace and quiet is just what we needed. The house was very clean and every convenience was thought of. The beds were super comfy. The decor was stunning. We enjoyed our time on the porch watching the Amish buggies go by and visiting with the on site horses and donkeys. Our hosts were wonderful. We were greeted with fresh baked cookies and they checked in half way through our stay to make sure we had everything we needed. We couldn’t have asked for more. We are already planning our return for next summer. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Summary: I recently stayed at Lemon Hill with my family, and it was an incredible experience. This charming home, with its authentic Amish-themed decor and furnishings, provided a unique and immersive getaway. One of the best parts was sitting on the front porch swing, watching the Amish buggies go by and enjoying the peaceful surroundings. We were greeted with delicious coconut chocolate chip cookies, which were amazing and added a special touch to our stay. The location is very convenient, with several towns and attractions nearby. We stayed at the house after doing the five-star Buggy Lane Tours in Shipshewana and dining with an Amish family, which was unforgettable. The outdoor fire pit and seating area were great for evening relaxation, and they even included the firewood! My son and daughter loved interacting with the white donkey and horses, which was a highlight for them. The house was equipped with electricity and had games and toys for children, which kept my kids entertained throughout our stay. Additionally, they provided coffee, which was a wonderful touch to start our morning! The host had amazing communication and even helped us out when we accidentally left our kids' clothing in the dryer. This level of care and attention was over the top. If you’re looking for a place to relax and unwind, Lemon Hill is perfect. The attention to detail and serene environment made our stay truly special. I highly recommend this charming property!

Summary: We enjoyed a quiet Father's Day Weekend family getaway in this lovely home! We enjoyed the quaint decor and comfy house with quiet country surroundings. All amenities were thought of and the hosts were very friendly and accommodating. We would suggest adding a non-slip bath mat to the shower for extra safety, but couldn't ask for a more relaxing stay.

Summary: This was exactly what we wanted. Beautiful house. In the heart of Indiana Amish Country. Quiet, peaceful, and relaxing stay. Loved waking up in the morning with a hot coffee on the porch swing watching the Amish horse and buggies go by. Loved watching the sunrise at the pasture fence with the livestock. Property was very clean and pleasant. The hosts were incredibly friendly. We are a family of 8 and we were very comfortable in the house. The whole family had a great time and are already asking to go back to this house. We were really blessed by the hosts and their property!
