Positive: Lovely unusual property in a great location for visiting the Dordogne. It is a really cool place to stay and has everything you need. Shame the pool isn’t open until later in April (especially when it was amazing weather on our last two days).
Negative: Nothing we didn’t like about the property. Just be aware that it is a tree house in a woodland area, so be aware of the insects (ants, spiders and leaf hoppers) 😊. Perhaps it was just circumstances but we struggled to get responses from the host, but they were friendly and welcoming when we spoke on the phone on arrival.
Summary: Amazing tree-house stay in the Dordogne.

Positive: This is a really fun, unique place to stay. The view is great and it's a great location for anyone wanting to be close to Belves / Urval / St Cyprien. The pool was lovely and clean - although FREEZING cold!! The beds were comfortable enough and it was nice and cool at night despite no air con, because you're up high in the trees. There was a barbecue which was lovely and hammocks and a nice amount of outdoor seating. The host was absolutely lovely - though be warned, she speaks no English so your French needs to be pretty good!! Very fast to respond and friendly. There's pretty much everything you need to be comfortable and it's got a lot of character. Merci beaucoup for having us!
Negative: We didn't realise that the kitchen/living space was actually IN one of the bedrooms, or that another of the bedrooms you'd have to go outside and into one of the other bedrooms to access a bathroom. It's just worth noting that the pictures don't give a good idea of the layout. We were staying in the bigger Cabanes, Cabanes I - To help other travellers here's more info: It was one large double bedroom with an ensuite bathroom (loo, sink, shower) which also had the kitchen (oven, appliances, sink, cupboards, crockery, utensils etc) and dining table/living space IN that same room. Then there was across the decking, there was the bunk bed room, which has the other bathroom as an ensuite attached to that. (Again, loo, sink, shower). And then there's a separate twin room, small ish with very little hanging space, and NO access to a bathroom - but perfectly comfortable. It's also worth noting that the pool is in its own separate enclosed space further down the hill - very close but not on the deck as it looks like it might be in the photos. None of it was really an issue it would just have been good to have a blue-print/layout so we knew what we were expecting. I also thought there might be a few more essentials provided - there was very little loo roll and no cooking oil/pepper and only 2 dishwasher tablets for the 3 days we were there (with 6 of us staying!). No pool towels either so you may want to request extra in advance or bring your own.
Summary: Super quirky, fun, comfortable place to stay up in the hills with a view through the trees x
