Summary: I am traveling via bicycle, the hotel was about as far away from my route as could be. But in this small town that wasn’t really an issue, and I recognized that when making the reservation. Very gracious host, delicious breakfast. Other dining was not particularly close, but walkable.

Summary: There was a large supermarket right in front of the hostel, which was very convenient. The room was spacious and comfortable for our family of three. Above all, the owner was a very friendly and lovely person, so we felt at ease during our stay.

Summary: We had reservations at a restaurant 7-8 km away. Thought we could just “call a taxi.” Turned out we should have made a reservation. The manager called two taxi companies for us as we don’t speak French. No luck. So, he drove us himself! Didn’t want anything for it. Went over and above, in our opinion.

Summary: The room was large and comfortable but simple in its furnishings. No lounge chair or sofa. Closet space, especially hanging space, is limited. It included a kitchenette with cooktop, microwave, refrigerator, and coffee maker. Daily cleaning of the room is not included, and guests are expected to leave the kitchen and its equipment clean when they leave. The proprietor and front desk staff were pleasant and accommodating. The proprietor speaks fluent English but the others were limited. I particularly enjoyed the buffet style breakfast: croissants, rolls, cheese, cold cuts, yogurt, eggs and an egg cooker, orange juice and a juicer for freshly made OJ, various hot drinks, and more.
