Positive: A wonderful place and welcome from Eric and Pierre. Our huge, well fitted, beautiful room, with its anteroom, leading to a stunning shower room, all perfect. Quality fittings, light and airy, and everything spotlessly clean. The bed huge and comfortable. We slept well. Our window overlooked the garden with its covered seating area, very pretty. A balance found between high end and homely. Excellent WiFi. Free parking. There are a few places, no matter where situated you’d choose to stay on their own merits, Les rives du Rochefollet is one such place. Although it has the benefit of being positioned in a pretty hamlet, not far from a village, and with easy access to Saintes and Saint-jean-d'angély (we parked near the twin towers and walked to Aux Bons Vivants for a huge, inexpensive dinner - a place popular with locals). Just when you think it can’t get any better breakfast is served in the kitchen; wow, wow, wow. Eric and Pierre danced attendance to make sure we had everything needed and then left us to enjoy our own company and delicious food. Even writing this review is bringing a smile to my face. Lovely memories.

Positive: We stayed here for a nearby wedding and absolutely loved the place. Surrounded by nature, there’s a beautiful forest just a three-minute walk from the house, and the views are stunning. Eric and Pierre are a wonderful couple — they went out of their way to make sure we felt comfortable and at home. Pierre prepared an incredible breakfast with homemade jam and fresh fruit and vegetables from their garden, plus local French croissants and pain au chocolat. Everything was delicious, the house is beautifully decorated, and they were incredibly warm and welcoming.

Positive: Very friendly and welcoming couple. We were welcomed with something to drink. After which we were able to relax together in the beautiful luxurious lounge/bedroom. The next morning we were spoiled with an extensive luxury breakfast where nothing was missing. All this in a very refined, beautifully restored building where everything exudes tranquillity, space and atmosphere. For us just a quick stopover on our way home but exactly what we needed at that moment. Thank you Pierre and Eric
