Less than 30mins to Pau city's elegant boulevards, cafes, restaurants & museums but in a truly tranquil position it allows guests to be as active or chill out as much as they choose. 1.5km to Lucq de Bearn with Post office and good restaurant. 7km to towns with banks, supermarket, markets, restaurant , tourist office etc
Fully accredited 4 star property. No other gites here. The house offers very good room proportions and is filled with french antique furniture as well as comfy sofas and modern, quality mattresses with WIFI throughout.
Adults and children over 5 years old are welcome.

Summary: Arrived to be greeted by owner, and sumptuous meal and wines ( an extra, but really worth it- excellent quality and very plentiful). House was completely immaculate, as was pool. Very well equipped. Loved the French touches in the bedroom, and great en suite shower. Pictures on your site don't really do the house justice. We went to Le Petit Trein , Artouste that Gillian recommended which was excellent day out, even saw a number Griffin Vultures. Enjoyed the markets, especially Oloron. v good free concert at Navarrenx and had dinner there in the square. Highly Recommend Pau, lots of cafés and restaurants, but not chateau tour, as was only in French and very long and a bit boring -should have read house info as that was pointed out. We will be back, as probably the best holiday house we've ever stayed in.

Summary: House was immaculately clean, very well equipped even down to cool box and ice blocks for picnics! Excellent shower in main bedroom ensuite - rare in other holiday houses we've rented. Nice surprise was the welcome basket. Ordered the optional first night supper which was great to arrive to lovely meal and chilled wine!! Owners were very welcoming. House was better than our expectations. Pool is amazing and was crystal clear with great views. Lots to do nearby. Recommend Navarrenx and Monein close by, but loved Pau. Made very good use of BBQ on terrace as we had warm evenings during our stay. Loved listening to distant cow bells and watching the stars while sampling local JUrancon wine. We will be back as so much more to see. Car is essential

Summary: This was our second visit to this excellent Gite, again for only a week. The weather was a little more mixed this time, which enabled me to better explore the interesting local area. If, like me, you are into architecture, both local and religious, this area is fascinating. The history of the region has dictated a different housing stock, and the well used pilgrim route encouraged a large number of substantial churches that thrived on the pilgrim trade. The mountains are just wonderful. Then the weather went back to 30 degrees and I was forced to swim and sit and enjoy the view from a sun lounger, it is a hard life. Gillian and Leigh have kept up the very high standards, including the newly refitted en suite, that we found on our previous visit, and the welcome meal was once again fabulous, especially after the journey.

Summary: We absolutely loved this gite, and would not hesitate to recommend it for a relaxing holiday. It was very clean, comfortable, well equipped and well maintained, the owners very friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend having a meal, the food was delicious. The gite is set in lovely countryside with stunning views, peaceful and quiet but easy to get to lots of interesting places by car. You can walk from the gite, the roads are very quiet and good for cycling (quite hilly!). Or you can laze by the swimming pool and look at the views. Would recommend having a french lunch in the main square in Pau, and visiting the mountains. We will definitely go back!
