Positive: Stayed in a deluxe mountain view room + The staff at front desk that checked me in seemed to speak almost perfect english (was a welcome change, I think she spoke the best english out of all the staff I encountered in the whole trip). The other lady the next morning was also really helpful trying to answer my questions the best she could! Thank you to both. + Own 'mud' bath in room. I think you basically pay really high prices for this convenience. It's not really muddy muddy but I think it's all mixed in, I checked out the main public area / source and treatment tanks the next day and feel that the mud here is lighter and must be mixed in with more minerals. Either way the water was super hot, enjoyable and my skin felt great after!!! The hotel does have public hourly rates downstairs I feel like all night too so guests come in and out all the time. + Wasn't too noisy for me

Negative: - A bit too pricey at $5000 NTD during a busy period - Bathroom gets really wet if you have a shower, everything gets wet and it's a really big bathroom. Hard for those not used to wet style Asian bathrooms where everything is together and the water just pools everywhere. - Not going to lie, breakfast is pretty ordinary. The reviews are true and I haven't seen anyone say they enjoy it yet it's still being served. I was super hungry so I ate it all. Yeah it was cold but I only went down to get it at 9am.

Positive: I stayed at this hotel again, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The room was clean as always, the staff were polite, and the breakfast was quite good.

Negative: However, I noticed a few inconsistencies compared to my previous visit: Despite booking the same room type, the space felt slightly smaller this time, and the view wasn’t as nice. It wasn’t a major issue, but the variation was noticeable. The biggest surprise was that the hotel no longer accepts credit cards for payment (only cash or domestic bank transfers). I booked two nights with three rooms via Booking.com, but this policy change wasn’t mentioned anywhere—neither on the booking platform nor hotel website . The front desk staff kindly directed me to a nearby ATM, but it was inconvenient, especially since I clearly remember paying by card last year. Interestingly, they allowed credit card payment for two of my rooms since I was a returning guest, which I appreciated. Another oddity was that one of my double rooms (for two guests) had only one key card, while another double room had two. When I asked, the explanation was: “Two-bed rooms get two keys, while one-bed rooms only get one.” This seemed arbitrary and different from last year’s policy—apparently, another recent change. The stay was comfortable, but the unannounced policy adjustments (payment and key cards) caused unnecessary hassle. Better communication from the hotel—whether via booking platforms or email—would greatly improve the guest experience.

Positive: the view of bathroom ie. private hot spring. that was the reason I booked this hotel

Negative: after getting off the bus, need to walk uphill (around 8 minutes )to the hotel, tough with small suitcase. there was water dripping from the ceiling in bathroom, exactly the location I stayed for brushing teeth.

Summary: hotel outlook is very old. in the room it was clean and new.

Positive: The hot spring tub included in the hotel room is nicely sized for 2 people. The water temperature from the muddy hot spring was great. However, the bathroom amenities were less than what we would expect from a basic hotel.

Negative: The Guanziling hot spring resort area has little to offer other than the hot spring. Many of the attractions are vacant or under repair. This area is only suitable for a day trip rather than an overnight stay.
