Lighthouse Landing has 3 bedrooms in the mainhouse and one bedroom in the basement. The basement unit has a separate entrance from the outside of the mainhouse.

The cottage comes with a magic floating carpet, a kayak and two stand up paddle boards. One is for kids up to 110 LBS and the other is for adults. We have a few sizes of life jackets, however we recommend bringing your own for proper sizing and additional safety.
Port Maitland is a small community in Haldimand County, Ontario. It is on the North shore of Lake Erie at the mouth of the Grand River. There are two separate upper decks accessed by way of sliding glass doors. One is off of the main floor of the mainhouse and the other is situated off the primary suite. Perfect for enjoying morning coffee or evening cocktails.
The Port Maitland Pier is only a short walk from the cottage along the beach or road. There is fantastic fishing at the pier and there is a bait shop on site. Dunnville is a ten minute drive and has a Beer Store, Liquor Store, several grocery stores and many charming, privately owned restaurants and shops. There is a farmers market. The public boat launch is a 5 minute drive from the cottage.

Summary: Beautiful property right on the lake. Felt like I was by the ocean with the sound of waves. Great view from master bedroom and sunroom. Access to beach makes for great beach walks! Dunnville is a cute little town. Easy access to grocery stores. Will be back!

Summary: Beautiful home. Only complaint was the private beach is not very swim friendly and the stairs going down to them was very dangerous

Summary: Overall we had a great time! Location is great right on the water. The vrbo had everything we needed (bbq, laundry, cutlery, coffee maker, etc.) The only issue was the bugs inside and outside of the house. There were a lot of gnats and mosquitos which made their way inside the house. However, we would definitely stay here again.

Summary: Cottage is very nice looking inside & out. Unfortunately because of the cool temperatures & high winds we couldn't take advantage of any water activities. Cottage seemed a bit smaller than it looked in the pictures - especially the kitchen (cupboards were all full so no place to store the food we brought) . It wasn't the best fit for our group as we had 5 active grandsons with us and there really isn't any place to play outdoors. We did walk down the beach to play some Nerf football and enjoy some walks but getting there is very rocky walking. Dishwasher should have a sign on it indicating its out of order - judging by the smell and crud on the bottom of it we weren't the first to fill it & then have to do them by hand when it wouldn't work. Only reason for lower pts in cleanliness was we found a lot of dog hair & 3 of our party had allergies ( also 1 stepped in poop outside). The view from the cottage is amazing and I'm sure others would find this lovely - just a bit crowded for our party of 10 ( 5 of those kids ages 5-12). Host was very friendly and easy to get a hold of - cottage is well maintained compared to some we have rented.
