Summary: Lovely place! I would stay there again. For travelers who are religious Jews: the place is pretty Shabbat-worthy--hard key on a carabiener, but be sure to set the clock on the microwave before Shabbat b/c otherwise no clocks in the room. Also no challah to be had in the Old City where this is though I assume in the new city (a drive or cab ride away) you could get it.

Summary: Our host was difficult to find. We were never given an address. Also there was no parking when parking was advertised. Our host was not helpful and there was no parking near this property.

Summary: Nizar met us as pre-arranged and showed us to the apartment, just around the corner from the lighthouse down a walking street in the old city. Parking was easy close to the apartment. The apartment is amazing - very old but very well modernised, plenty of space with a bedroom, kitchen, bathroom and large sitting & dining room and up to date with everything we needed for a stay of a few nights including wine and snacks. Breakfast was free at a nice local restaurant a few meters away overlooking the ocean. The location of the apartment was terrific for walking and getting lost in the alleyways of the old city and harbour - Nizar even took us for a fascinating walking tour into the heart of the city. Lots to see and do for the 3 days we were there. Everything was a short walk away - restaurants, the souk and all the historical sites - didn't need to car.
