Positive: Very well located with a view over Lijiang. The rooms are very well decorated with all equipments needed. Staff very nice and helpful and good breakfast.

Positive: The people, specially Jimmy who was incredible, very helpful and speaks very good English! We are feeling grateful for the hospitality! The place is amazing! The building is a traditional villa very good restored. The room spacious with magnificent views in the old city. We stayed one week and we didn't want to go. Jimmy asked us if we would like something different for breakfast, although there are three Chinese options and a sandwich. The atmosphere of the hotel is unique! Beautiful garden! Jimmy helped us to go to the Tiger gorge and to the villages around lijiang. He has found us a really nice driver with a Tesla. Very grateful he brought us to the train station without any cost! Thank you all!
Negative: We would suggest a sofa in the breakfast room for staying longer there with a book or just relaxing.

Positive: The hotel was gorgeous, with a spectacular view and a super location nearby but also not in the middle of the crowd. The staff was very accommodating giving us a premium experience. They were attentive, helpful and always there to help. Spoke English. Great for foreigners. And at a good price. The consolidated rooms for us as we had kids, saving us money at the hotel. Created a cooking class. Really great.
Negative: Honestly nothing. it was marvelous

Positive: This hotel is a one off. It has been very well designed, with superb taste, evoking a historic feel, which is enhanced by beautiful antique furniture and artwork. The garden feels like you’ve walked into the name of the hotel - a zen garden, and our room (at the top of the hotel) was beautiful and spotlessly clean. Very comfortable and spacious too, with excellent detailing. The views of the rooftops of the old town and the foothills of the Himalayas - just breathtaking. The icing on the cake was the very friendly service we received, beginning with the pickup and help with our bags. All the staff made us feel very welcome, offering advice, chats and tea. They also spoke good English. We were most impressed though with Amber. We couldn’t believe she had learned English in four years - her use of language was impeccable. She couldn’t do enough to make sure we were happy at the hotel - even spending part of her day in our company, helping translate and see the sights. She gave us the best service we had in China and will be very successful in her hotel career. We would not hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Lijiang. The staff dedication to guest satisfaction truly enhanced our experience.

Positive: The staff are extraordinarily helpful, particularly Miss Jiajia and Mr Zhou. They picked us up from the station free (and returned us) made step by step arranged trips for us, recommended restaurants and so on. Nothing was too much trouble. We were upgraded free to the best room in the hotel, which was perfect. The hotel is beautiful, decorated in the traditional Chinese style with lovely ornaments, furniture, fish ponds etc. The location is perfect, right in the centre of the old town of Lijiang which is a World Heritage site. The hotel and its location could be a problem for those with walking difficulties because there are quite a lot of stairs and cobbled streets. Breakfast is Chinese style, which was OK for us but may not be what western visitors.might expect. A safe in the room would be very useful.

Positive: One of the most welcoming hotels I have ever stayed in. Nothing was too much. From acting as a guide around town to very comfortable free transfers from and to the airport. The rooms are beautifully appointed and very comfortable. The traditionally styled hotel is well positioned at the top of the old town not too far from a road, so no dragging of luggage through the old streets.

Positive: Hotel offers different package with round trip airport/ train station transfer. It gave us time to be more familiar with first self travel in china. Location at first seemed out of town and hard access by car, it was rather just 1 minute walk after we got off a car. There is a path that we can walk to water wheel in 5 minutes and of course to foods street.
Negative: No heater at restaurant. Lucky breakfast was a hot soup noodle.
