Positive: What an extraordinary place! It’s like a beautiful oasis in the middle of nowhere, where you can actually relax and unwind. Matthias and Sunkar were so friendly and accommodating and made us really feel like we were visiting friends and family and not staying at a resort. And of course the food. Every single dish was absolutely perfect, especially the Chicken Yassa. Thank you Sunkar for cooking these delicious dishes. Also a big thanks to the staff, who were all so courteous and made sure, that we had everything we needed. The beach is just a 5 minute walk and there’s a restaurant called Santosha right on the beach with clean beach beds, so you could just chill there all day and enjoy the beautiful and secluded beach, all to yourself, and most importantly there’s no pestering from any beach hawkers on the entire beach. Don’t forget to take a walk to the close by villages, to get a feeling of the local Gambian life. And you could easily hop onto a shared taxi from Gunjur, if you ever want to visit Banjul or Serrekunda for literally nothing. It’s not so difficult to find a taxi on the main road close to Little’s too. If you’re a fan of tranquility and really want to detox, and stay away from the busy and maddening Serrekunda, this is the place to be.
Negative: There’s just cold water in the shower. But honestly you get used to it so fast. If you don’t prefer it, you can always request for warm water.

Positive: Peaceful and tranquil surroundings, close to the beach, amazing friendly staff, comfortable bed and spacious room and bathroom. Lots to do and see in the area and surrounding areas, ,great places to eat nearby! Highly recommend if you want to be away from the more touristy parts of Gambia . I will definitely be back !

Positive: We had an amazing stay at little’s. The rooms are in a beautiful garden full of gorgeous plants and birds. The beach is only a short walk away. Dinner was delicious and rooms are very comfortable and clean. On top of that, Little’s hospitality made us feel really comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.

Positive: A relaxing oasis, a short and beautiful walk from one of the nicest beaches in the Gambia. The resort is full of trees, flowers and birds - best appreciated lazily from the comfort of one of the hammocks... The hosts were exceptionally friendly and helpful, the food was delicious, and the service excellent. The rooms are basic, but comfortable and clean. If you want to enjoy the Gambia at its best, I would recommend you stay at Little's.

Positive: This is a very nice place. It's basic but in a lovely quiet location close to the beach where there is a small beach bar. It's run by Little and Matthias who were very helpful in arranging trips, sorting out cash etc. All the staff were so friendly and Kamaro (?spelling) is a really good cook. We also found all the local people we encountered on the beach and in the local towns to be really friendly too.

Positive: Beutiful palmtrees everywhere. A constant ambience of nature, cute dogs and very nice houses. The food is amazing, and they work together with locals to provide entertainment, knowledge and services. I for example got my and my girlfriend’s hair braided pretty much for free cause of the their local connection. This retreat is owned by lovely people that give back a lot to the community.
Negative: The only thing that might be tough for some travelers is that there is no hot water in the bathroom. You can always ask the staff if they can heat it for you using pans however. Everything can be arranged by this great staff of friendly people

Positive: A wonderful and welcoming place to stay. I can highly recommend. The place is really beautiful and calm. The beach is only a 1 or 2 min walk away. The owners and the staff are fantastic. It felt like Staying with friends that you know for a long time already and you feel immediately like home. They are very helpful with everything and will give you good advices about possible activities in this area and they will support you organising small trips if you want. Also the food is fantastic. The cook is doing a great job. Many thanks to everyone for the wonderful time - A baraka Barke ;-). I will definitely come back. Simon
