THE UNIQUE STORY, AS TOLD BY THE HOMEOWNER
The owner is an atypical person in her personality, her tastes and her vision of the world. This is reflected in the choice of properties. She is a person fascinated by going back to basics and nature as well as well-being.
Taking advantage of her large garden, she started almost 20 years ago by setting up a cottage near her house. Afterwards, she was able to buy her first caravan (and six more since), which she also put on her land, but this time on the opposite side of her house, towards the stream below. Following a meeting with a Mongolian couple working in import-export, she had the opportunity to buy an authentic Mongolian yurt and some of the furniture inside. Naturally, she set up this new “light accommodation” on her land, and more precisely, between the chalet and the trailers. The space is large, so all the dwellings are on the same plot without being on top of each other. Also, the fact that the yurt is located on the owner's land provides a very safe environment for the tenants, while remaining a very private, unoverlooked place, thanks to the many trees on the plot.
The owner has not installed Wi-Fi in the yurt to allow the tenants to recharge their batteries without giving in to the temptation of connectivity, so she has made books and board games available for the days when the tenants are unfortunately unable to enjoy the outdoors due to the weather.
The homeowner really wants to share and to show her tenants another way of life. She really likes the idea of being able to offer them a moment "out of time", back to their roots.

- The Mongolian yurt is only rented out between May and September
- Follow the barefoot path and enjoy a wonderful 3 km route along the most beautiful places
- For reasons of authenticity, there are no windows in the roof or in the walls.
- Also because of the authenticity, only dry toilets are available
- There is a common relaxation area with wellness, a campfire area and a pizza oven
For reasons of tranquillity, this holiday home will not be rented to groups of youngsters
It is strictly forbidden to organise any student party, bachelor party or drinking party in this house
This holiday home is available for recreational purposes only. Bookings on behalf of companies will be cancelled and possible cancellation costs will be charged

Summary: Heerlijke rustige omgeving, veel dieren zoals geiten, schapen, konijnen en herten. Een aanrader om er even helemaal tussenuit te zijn. Huisje staat midden in het bos, geen groot vakantiepark in een hele mooie omgeving omringt door naaldbomen.

Summary: Wij zijn hartelijk en gastvrij ontvangen. In de yurt en het huisje brandden de lampjes al. De accomodatie is echt prachtig. en ook bijzonder. Wij waren met 2 volwassenen en 2 meiden van 13. Het was dus onderhandelen over de yurt... de meiden wonnen.... De yurt is werkelijk prachtig. Zowel in de yurt als het het huisje is alles zeer harmonisch en kleurrijk ingericht... met overal lichtjes en mooie dingen. Heerlijke plek om te zijn. Naar alle kanten toe kun je op avontuur, Houffalize op een paar kilometer afstand met superveel mogelijkheden.. Heerlijke wandelingen of tochten maken, mountainbiken... ook La Roche is vlakbij, of Lachouffe.. Gewoon een prima plek in 1 woord.

Summary: Yurt zeer slecht te vinden. 6x gebeld naar het nummer op de reservering en werd niet opgepakt. Door middel van het thuisfront gevonden na 2 uren. Ontvangst was haastig!!! Yurt stonk verschrikkelijk en was niet te luchten omdat het dak niet meer open kon. (Kapot). Geprobeerd met wierrook om de stank eruit te krijgen maar was niet te doen. Wc moet je aan wennen denk ik. Na elke plas of poep moett je er zaagsel op gooien. Emmer vol ergens neerzetten maar werd niet weggehaald. Na 4 nachten vertrokken. Stank was niet meer te harden in de yurt en hebben onze biezen gepakt en zijn naar een hotel gegaan. Verkeerde keuze werd ons gezegd na uitleg van de stank. Voor ons nooit meer!!!!

Summary: We hebben een heerlijke vakantie gehad. Het huisje is luxe kamperen om zo maar te zeggen. Geen luxe maar wel smaakvol ingericht, zeker de yurt! en lekker buitenaf. Echter zijn er wel drukke wegen dus best veel geluid van verkeer. Daarnaast zijn de mensen die het huisje verhuren elke dag aan het werk met trekkers, pick-up, shovel, kraan, kettingzaag en van echte rust is absoluut geen sprake. Wel een klein speeltuintje voor de kinderen, een vuurkorf en een barbecue. De compost toilet leek ons niet zo erg maar dat viel toch tegen. Dat komt deels ook door de constructie omdat het ding niet goed schoon valt te maken en houden maar ook doordat het huisje redelijk broeierig is hangt er ook constant een vieze geur. De extra kosten voor stroom, water, schoonmaken zijn erg hoog. En onze dochter vond tijdens het spelen in de yurt zakjes met rattenkorrels (gif) gelukkig kwam ze eerst vragen wat het was..... niet echt jofel. De dame die het huisje verhuurd is wel erg vriendelijk overigens. Wij hadden een erg geslaagde vakantie, zeer mooie omgeving en leuke stadjes zoals La Roche in de buurt. Mooie wandelingen in de omgeving. Wij gaan zeker terug maar dan wel in een ander huisje.

Summary: We werden zeer goed onthaald en kregen duidelijke uitleg. De omgeving is rustig en het was fantastisch om verwelkomd te worden door de geitjes. De yurt en het huisje zijn heel mooi en gezellig. Een stofweb hier en daar moet je er wel bijnemen, maar verder was alles in orde.

Summary: Locatie moeilijk te vinden. Vriendelijk ontvangst. De Yurt had slechte ventilatie, alles bleef klam. Gedoe met die emmertjes uitwerpselen. Stille, bosrijke omgeving, vanuit de locatie mooi te wandelen.
