Located in the perfect spot, a quiet residential neighborhood nestled in the heart of the Catalina Foothills, is our newly constructed open concept style, 1 bedroom 1 bathroom guesthouse. The house is tastefully decorated in modem contemporary style and provides the comfort of home with a full kitchen, a bathroom with a large walk in shower, full size washer and dryer, Wi-Fi, and 55 inch TV with over 150 channels. The house is also handicapped accessible.

Guests can relax and enjoy the spectacular sunsets and stunning views of the Catalina Mountains from the large picture windows. A sliding glass door provides access to the private backyard and shaded patio complete with gas grill. Swimming and tennis court are available at the community pool about a 5 minute walk from the house.

The house is located just minutes away from Tucson's popular La Encantada outdoor shopping mall, top rated restaurants, golf courses and hiking trails. Groceries and other basis necessities are only 5 minutes drive away.

According to UNESCO Tucson is the first place in the United States to be honored with the Capital of Gastronomy designation.

Summary: We're VRBO veterans, having stayed at many across the country. Haciendas Catalina Del Rey was good overall; needs some comfort updates. Pros: Spacious casita feels far larger than the photos convey! Beautiful, quiet foothells neighborhood Gorgeous mountain views out the huge windows, and excellent privacy/separation from the owners' house Very comfortable bed Great shower & water pressure Ample closet space Amazing hiking, botanical gardens, and other attractions nearby Close to groceries, restaurants, natural areas Responsive host All at a very reasonable rate. Cons: To echo a previous reviewer - nearly none of the seating was comfortable. Probably time to replace. After spending a day hiking or walking through museums, you want some comfortable lounging. We loved: Tohono Chul botanical gardens, Arizona Museum of the Desert, Catalina State Park, Saguaro east AND west National Parks, Feast Restaurant, Vivace restaurant, Tubac (arty town with great shops about 40 miles south), Taliesin - the Frank Lloyd Wright compound up in Scottsdale. Thank you for sharing this unique place!

Summary: What a great stay! The pictures don't even give a small feel of the comfort and wonder of this rental. A backyard with a mountain view. Ease of access. Close to a supermarket and not that far out of the way. Our only sadness- it's already rented for this time period next year. Vera- we will miss being your neighbor! Thanks.

Summary: This small casita is nicely decorated with a pleasant patio. The shower is luxurious. The sofa and living area chairs are uncomfortable but the bed is good. We had a few issues during our stay that marred the experience including finding out after we moved in that the units heat was broken and parts of the ceiling had to come down for repairs. We also spent most of our stay battling pack rats trying to nest in our car and chewing the wiring. Due to my job I’ve stayed in tons of rentals and ran into the occasional problem but this was a bit more than I expected at a high end property.

Summary: I am a native Tucsonan, having spent the first 17 years of my life there. I continue to visit often, staying at various properties to round out my Tucson IQ, but never have I stayed in the Catalina Foothills. Until this trip. Vera's place was perfect for the two of us. We felt far enough away from everyone else to feel safe in these Covid times and so deep in the quiet of nature that I could take business meetings outside watching hummingbirds while the mountains shifted colors in the changing light. It is a great, compact, uncomplicated, but well-designed space. We're very glad we stayed there.

Summary: We were very comfortable and happy in this well-designed, attractive guest house. Even for a stay of several weeks, the place always felt roomy and the kitchen was well-equipped for cooking meals. The view of the Catalinas was amazing. We enjoyed the use of a private patio, as well as walks in the lovely neighborhood. Hosts were friendly and professional, also respecting our privacy.
