Positive: Beautiful bedroom, fantastic view. Very comfortably furnished with lounge chairs to enjoy the view. Huge bathroom with walk-in rain shower and a roll top bath with a view of the sea. Lovely
Negative: A mini fridge in the room for chilled water,would have been good. However, the host had fixed that with a bottle of water, which was chilled, on each bedside table every day. So really there was nothing to dislike.

Positive: The breakfasts were simply perfect. Even on our last day, when we had to leave early, Fiona had prepared a packed lunch for us to take along. All our dinners had been booked in advance, as well as transportation to and from the restaurants. It is nearly impossible to receive better service than this. In addition, we were able to learn a great deal about Islay by chatting over breakfast about the local customs and way of life.
Negative: Honestly, nothing.

Positive: Loch Gorm House is amazing. The view is incredible and the hospitality is wonderful. The breakfast was fantastic! I would highly recommend a stay in this beautiful guesthouse. The house is located very close to Bruichladich Distillery which was our favorite tour of all the ones we went on. Definitely worth booking a tour there. The house is also great for birdwatching. We saw several new species for us by just looking out our bedroom window.
Summary: Loch Gorm House is amazing, the view is incredible and the hospitality is wonderful.

Positive: Fiona was an outstanding host, very caring, so pleasant, nice and accommodating. She was incredibly helpful in guiding us during our stay with her. She even did laundry of our clothes since we had been on the road for a few days. The room was very large, especially the newly renovated attached bathroom. Her breakfast was amazing, a very large spread to start off our day. Top notch B&B with a top notch host in Fiona, the best host we have stayed with in all our travels. Can't wait to stay with Fiona again. We highly recommend staying at Loch Gorm house with Fiona.
Negative: Everything was perfect, nothing to add here.

Positive: The host, Fiona, keeps an impeccable home and plans for her guests every need. She arranges dining at fantastic venues (even getting bar seating right beside musicians playing Scottish music on Sunday night)! Her breakfast is among the best meals that my husband and I have ever enjoyed. Seriously - he cited Fiona's smoked haddock as the best meal he'd had in Scotland. Lovely place, lovely host. We'll be deeply disappointed if Loch Gorm House is not an option for future stays.

Positive: We loved everything about our stay at Loch Gorm House. It's a beautiful home located near quiet beaches with lovely touches in the rooms. The breakfasts were the best we've ever tasted! They were tailored to suit any requests you had and set you up for the day. Our host Fiona was full of tips, tales, craic and character! Nothing could have made our stay even better than it was. An absolute gem.

Positive: The breakfast was lovely as well as the table setting. The owner treated us to several local beers after dropping one we asked to store in refrigerator.
Negative: The house is located on the main highway. The speed limit is 60 mph. When booking, there was no mention of parking across the busy road and carrying luggage while hoping not to get hit by the oncoming cars. As far as our room, Lily, our bathroom was located across the hall and not ensuite. If I had known there was no bathroom attached to our room, I would not have booked this B&B. The room was facing a rather messy backyard and the window was recently broken and unable to open. The owner did make an effort to fix it but not in time for our arrival. We got off to a rather rocky start and our welcome was less than cordial. As a matter of fact, the owner tried to find us another hotel without even asking. I can’t say I have even been kicked out of a B&B. Very rude. We just didn’t feel welcome. It was an awkward several day stay.

Positive: Breakfast was great. The host would prepare just about whatever you could ask for in a breakfast. There was no lack of food for eating breakfast. The view of the loch was a nice thing to see in the morning before breakfast and in the evening after a day's travels. The host also make sure we had dinner reservations ahead of time, which is a must on Islay.
Negative: Be careful when going to your car as there is a blind curve and the cars drive pretty fast around the corner. Google maps has the location wrong; however, the host was willing to come outside and meet us so be sure to call in advance of your arrival so you don't drive past the place.
Summary: I'd be happy to stay here again & enjoy the wonderful breakfast & hospitality that the host provides
