Positive: ## Overall Review 1. **Great location.** The lodge is in a good location, with a fantastic sandy beach within walking distance. However, there are some steep sections along the footpath, and unfortunately, they do not have handrails. 2. **Fort Inn restaurant and bar** serves very good fish and chips. Unfortunately, the food menu was limited during our stay due to a delivery issue. 3. **No onsite convenience store.** There is no mini food shop on the property, so it is worth bringing essential supplies with you. 4. **Well-equipped lodge.** The lodge is well equipped, and the kitchen has everything you need for a comfortable stay. 5. **Toilets need some attention.** Both toilet doors need some maintenance, as one of the door handles kept falling apart. The limited supply of toilet paper (two half rolls shared between the two bathrooms) was not an issue for us, as we had come prepared after reading previous reviews about the property. 6. **A small point regarding the cleaning staff.** We would have appreciated some advance notice if the cleaners intended to enter the property before the official checkout time. They could have waited until we had vacated the lodge before starting to clean. I checked both the clock on the wall and my watch, and it was not yet 10:00 a.m. when they entered. This did not give us enough time to do a final check of the property before they came in. Thankfully, we had not left anything behind. **Overall, we had a good vacation and enjoyed our stay.**

Positive: Good location and facilities on site, well equiped lodge with plenty of kitchenware etc; good value for money, its a bit dated but was clean, ideal for what we required with good views over the Maker lake, would use again.

Negative: The heating was not very evenly distributed. Even though the thermostats were all on 5 some rooms were colder than others.
