Whitsand Bay Lodge is a very well equipped 3 bedroom luxury lodge within Whitsand Bay Fort.
Located on the beautiful Rame Peninsula, the property offers far-reaching views across Plymouth Sound. With Freathy Beach less than 100 metres from the lodge, you can walk down the stunning cliff path and be on the sand in minutes. Plenty of other local beaches are also less than a mile away, and Millbrook, Kingsand and Cawsand all within easy reach to explore – you will be spoilt for choice with where to go first!
Within the lodge, there is a spacious bright open plan kitchen, living and dining area which is smartly furnished and has all the home comforts you will want to relax and enjoy your holiday. There is a television with DVD player, comfortable sofas, and a large dining table, perfect for coming together for family meals with a glorious sea view. The modern kitchen area has all the equipment and amenities you'll need during your stay.
The bedrooms are all beautifully dressed, with comfortable beds and plenty of storage space. The master bedroom has a double bed, and contemporary en-suite shower room with toilet and basin. The second bedroom has 2 full size single beds, and the third has twin beds. There is a main family bathroom complete with shower over the bath. Double doors from the living room lead outside to a beautifully finished decking area, with garden furniture and a sun lounger for that all important siesta after a morning at the beach.
The indoor pool is open and available free of charge for guests staying in our lodges. Enjoy one complimentary 1-hour swim session for each night of your stay. Simply pop by Reception to book your preferred time slot.
Other attractions in the local area include Royal William Yard, an historic Grade I listed victualling yard, and National Trust's Anthony House, which is less than a 15 minute drive away.

Summary: Wow! This amazing lodge did not disappoint us. It was clean, tidy and fully equipped with everything we needed. It was perfectly situated on the site itself with beautiful views & just minutes away from a beautiful beach too. Nothing! It was perfect!

Summary: My wife and I really enjoyed our stay All our needs were met, home from home touch. Spacious, light , comfortable. Unfortunately for us the only negative was the fact we have mobility issues so the transfer from car to lodge with our belongings was a fair challenge. That said worth every step! Maybe a foot stool for relaxing on the leather sofa/chair.

Summary: huge, spacious, very clean, well equipped, well situated with exceptional views over Torpoint and Plymouth. also a fantastic on-site bar and restaurant serving great food, compliments to the chef. unable to park close to Lodge, which meant quite a walk with clothes and luggage, there are trolleys available but reception closed when we arrived meant there was no one available to advise us about thiswhere to find them, make sure your clothes etc are all bagged as loose luggage would get dusty in a trolley.

Summary: V nice lodge: airy, spacious, clean & comfortable. Plenty of hot water. Lovely terrace & views. Gt location to Torpoint Head, Cawsand & Whitsand Bay. V lovely area. Some lamps would have been good. The pool was being decorated so it was completely out of action a great shame. A recycling box would have been a good addition & notes re check out. We thought it was a bit expensive.

Summary: Great view of Plymouth and countryside Needed a map before arrival to show route from car park to chalet as chalet numbers were not visible from car park. also there was only one wonky luggage trolley available.

Summary: We were a bit nervous having read some poor reviews for Whitsand Bay Fort but this unit is privately owned and was perfect for us as a family of 4. Everything we needed was provided. If you're looking for lots of beach time, the closest beach is Treganhawke which is absolutely beautiful and there are life guards on duty however the climb is really steep so be prepared 😀
