Summary: Good things first...I really enjoyed the outdoor area overlooking the lake. The "tiki" bar had good food, good drinks, and nice servers. The atmosphere was relaxing and conducive to a splendor of a vacation. However, the pool was much too crowded, so we didn't partake, but I heard that non-guests can purchase day passes, and I don't understand how that's a perk for current guests. The interior of the hotel has an older feel and decor, but was clean and felt good. Most of the staff we encountered were not very friendly. They didn't seem like they wanted to be there--but who really wants to be at work? When you're in a service position, you have to pretend. It's your job. But I got the feeling as if all they wanted to do was get rid of guests quickly so they could chat or relax. I wish I remembered the names of those I got professional service from. I'd remember them if I saw them! The room was not refreshed, so it had some damage, the carpet was waxy and sticky--so no bare feet--and the mattress and pillows were hard. Everything closes early so there was no real lounge time for adults, and room service doesn't start until 4 pm, so that was not ideal. We probably won't stay here again, but there were plusses, just not worth it for us.

Summary: This resort is located in a beautiful setting and has terrific golf. However, we found the lodge to be understaffed and that resulted in the public areas being dirty. There was an ice cream cone spilled on the main stairs going down to the lower level that serviced the two pools that hadn't been cleaned up 24 hours after we saw everyone stepping around it. The carpeting in the stairways leading up to upper floor was in terrible condition and so were the cushions of the sofas in the lounge of the lobby. Many guests avoided sitting on them sofas due to how dirty they were. This resort has made some upgrades in the lobby and some of the rooms but they are not able to back up the higher end image they want to portray. We will not stay here again.

Summary: We chose this location, (despite having a subpar experience last year) this time to enjoy the pool area. There were usually around 4 servers to run food and drinks from the bar to poolside. Sadly, two consecutive days (3-4 hours each day) not even one server tended to us. Unsure if this was attributed to poor training or simply preferential treatment as we witnessed others around us receive rockstar service. When we finally lost our patience, we decided to exit the pool area and get our own drinks at the bar. When we asked to open a tab, we were told that we could only do so with a server poolside. -who again, never tended to us Aside from the lobby and the banquet area, the hotel is a bit outdated. The Italian restaurant onsite, has minimal menu options and the food is no better than a popular Italian food chain (and they ran out of meatballs?) Fool me twice, shame on me! Never again

Summary: A good place to stay and a great place to hold a conference. Property is very nice, but rooms need updating and a thorough cleaning, paying attention to corners, bathroom, and tile. The couch was dusty.
