Summary: In summer 2021, we've spent our vacation in Vers-Pont-du-Gard on Sylvain's premise, and it was really amazing. Only one small thing, there's no real wall between the two spaces for sleeping. Overall we'd like to recommend the accomodation, even Silvain is very friendly and helpful!

Summary: We had a very enjoyable week in this stunning gite. Full of character and charm, in the heart of a delightful village. We enjoyed walking and kayaking, swimming in the river and of course the stunning Pont Du Gard. There are many things to see and do locally, and we loved just watching the world go by outside the wine bar! Carine, Sylvain and their family are super hosts and looked after us very well. Thank you for making our holiday so pleasant and relaxing! Miles and Debbie

Summary: We loved staying here: Sylvain and Carine were perfect hosts, from leaving some essentials in the fridge when we arrived (including Carine's delicious home made jam) to inviting us for a drink once we had settled in. They speak excellent english, and gave us lots of good advice on places to go - there is so much to do in the area, starting with Vers-Pont-du-Gard which is a beautiful historic village. You can buy bread and pastries at the boulangerie which is a few steps away. We enjoyed the local food markets, kayaking, jumping off the rocks into the river, visiting the Pont du Gard and the Roman amphitheatre at Arles. We spent a couple of days just doing nothing, because the gite was such a lovely place to be. The barn is beautifully decorated and very well equipped. We had a battery operated nightlight with us which we hung on the stair rail, but otherwise found the stairs absolutely fine. We stayed with our 8 year old son and he didn't mention being bored once.

Summary: Only wish we could have stayed longer. The old barn (from 1792) has been lovingly restored and beautifully decorated. It's larger than we expected and has everything one could want. The village of Vers-Pont-du-Gard is tiny and charming, an excellent base for exploring the Occitaine. Carine and Syvlain are warm and gracious hosts, great resources and excellent conversationalists in English and French. We'd love to come back and spend more time.

Summary: First I want to thank Sylivan, Carine, and there three wonderful children for the warm hospitality. Sharing the history of their home and the family effort to make it what it is today is a remarkable story. Vers Pont du Gard is a picturesque village and a prefect location to explore the Languedoc-Roussillon Region of southern France. Nimes, Arles, Avignon all within an hours drive. Uzes is virtual in their backyard. It would not be a stretch to consider the wines of this region some of the best France has to offer. Don't forget to ask Sylivan about the not so well recognized destinations such as St Remy, Les Baux, etc. The restored "Barn" can be described as charming, rustic, and comfortable. Notable features include a full kitchen and very good wifi access. While it take a day to get used to the stairs, the loft is a large accommodating living area. The upper terrace from off the loft allows for a private area to relax under the famous French blue sky. We would not hesitate to return!

Summary: First, Sylvain and Carine Peuget are very kind and hospitable hosts. It was a pleasure to meet them and their lovely children, julie, Chloé, and Matthieu (and dog Jazz). They have beautifully restored their historic 18th century home. The rental unit is separate from their home, which it faces across a gravel gated courtyard. The unit is spacious. The large open plan ground floor comprises kithchen, dining, and lounge areas (with two sofa beds separated by a large coffee table), plus shower and toilet facilities. The kitchen is very functional. The hosts thoughtfully stocked the kitchen with essentials: bread, butter, coffee, sugar, spices, orange juice, oil, vinegar, and more. On our first morning, Sylvain thoughtfully left fresh croissants and a baguette outside our door. The narrow stairs lead to a large landing, with chests of drawers, table, settee, and small desk, and a door leading to a terrace. Three more steps lead to a large master bedroom area, with queen size bed and two single beds against the wall. Skylights provide good illumination, but you can close the integrated cover, also. The location is wonderful, just minutes from Pont de Gard, with instant access to miles of open country and interesting villages. We are cyclists and very much appreciated the great paths and chemins for biking off the main roads. Vers-Pont-de-Gard is a picturesque medieval village. The lovely town of Uzès is an easy bike ride along a narrow paved chemin that skirts the hills south of the Gardon river. Avignon is about 40 minutes' drive; Remoulins about 30. We loved our stay and look forward to returning.

Summary: Not very easy to find, not too easy to park a 4 x 4 in the court, but once the old iron gate is closed you find yourself in that southern France which you might not exspect nowadays: natural stone walls of an old post- station, hidden places under arches, a big room for you - a very well stocked kitchen as an extra-plus. The staircase to the bedroom upstairs needs a certain agility- if you don't want to invest that Carine, the helpful landlady, will fix your bedding on a big couch downstairs. And: not only Carine is a soul of a french madame, Sylvain, the husband knows a lot of the surrounding country and will, if his time allows, accompany you. To all the historical richnesses of that part of the Midi - and to the grat baker in the village.

Summary: This place is lovely: very well equipped and a nice refugium when it is hot outside. The pictures are really showing what you get. Plus the wonderfull hosters who live just the other side. They and their family make the stay even better as they help you every minute they can and give you the possibility to have a look how a french familiy in the Provence can live. Vers Pont du Gard ist a nice spot in the Provence an from this place you can visit other nice places easily.
