Your private, self-contained, modern studio cottage is set on our beautiful 3 acre property overlooking the stunning Tolpuddle Vineyard and just minutes from Historical Richmond Village - breathe in that fresh Tasmanian air and relax in the peaceful surrounds.
Come and discover our quiet, spacious and modern studio accommodation complete with kitchenette, separate bathroom, luscious skincare products, heated towel rail, queen size bed, luxurious quality linen, electric blanket, relaxed lounge area and reverse cycle air-conditioning with glorious views over the beautiful Tolpuddle Vineyard, Coal River Valley and into Richmond Historic Village beyond.
Our family residence is also on site, as is our very friendly border collie, Ruby. She will be very excited to see you and may even leave you a stick or pine-cone on your porch if you're lucky! Ruby loves pats but if you prefer her presence elsewhere she will mostly leave you alone.
We have easy, secure parking to our gated property and being very private, your belongings will be very secure.
A light, self-service breakfast will be provided to enjoy at your leisure.
Nestled in the Coal River Valley wine region, a short 20 minute drive into Hobart and 15 minutes from Hobart airport, we are a perfect base point from which to discover the greater Hobart region and beyond.
Richmond is located in the centre of the Coal River Valley and is Australia's finest Georgian village, with its original courthouse, churches and cottages and the oldest bridge, gaol and Catholic church in the country. In the vicinity you can find antique shops, bakery, supermarkets, chocolate and cheese factories, wineries, restaurants, even wildlife parks!

Summary: The loft is spacious with spectacular view. The bed and pillows are very comfy. It was fun playing stick with Ruby the border collie day and night. The host, Natasha is very helpful and responsive. Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us! Highly recommend!

Summary: Beautifully decorated, cosy, comfortable, roomy and quiet. Gorgeous views out over the Richmond Valley. Less than 30 mins drive from Hobart. 15 mins to Hobart Airport. Small kitchen worked well for us. Safe parking. Great farm atmosphere.

Summary: My wife and I were delighted with our stay at Loft over the Vines. We found the accommodation very clean, tidy, and well presented. It was quiet, peaceful, and cosy. The location was perfect to explore the Richmond area and beyond. Natasha and Alex were most accommodating. Ruby came for a visit and had an insatiable appetite for exercise chasing her toy. The pet sheep were very cute and came to us at the fence for a pat. We will definitely recommend the Loft to our friends, and we would not hesitate to stay again should the occasion arise.

Summary: My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and we had an incredible time. The scenery and the loft itself were both stunning and it was conveniently located only 20mins from Hobart CBD. We had a rental car and the loft was the perfect home base for us as we explored southern Tasmania.

Summary: This property is delightful. It’s a good size, cosy and has great heating and cooling. We were very happy it included a Nespresso. Although the family is close by, it’s very private and quiet. Ruby is gorgeous and once she worked out we were dog people, she came over for visits with stick in tow for games of fetch. The location is great, just 3km from Richmond and close to some fantastic wineries.
