Big stars under a big yurt at the gateway to The Big Bend ! This heated and insulated beautifully decorated with west Texas and boho decor has beds to comfortably sleep four and has room to sleep additional guests upon request. Casa Estrella feels adventurous and unique just like the terrain of Far West Texas and when you break from the terrain you can enjoy wifi, smart tv, nice cool ac or a warm escape from the cool desert nights. Rest and relax in the true to western fashion clawfoot tub or shower under the stars in a โ€œperfect for the dessertโ€ outdoor shower. West Texas cuisine is just minutes away but if the yurt is where your hat hangs, Casa Estrella boasts a stocked kitchen for refueling and an outdoor grilling area for making nourishing meals for you and your fellow guest.
This big beautiful yurt is only minutes from all things Alpine, under 30 minutes from Fort Davis, Marfa, and Marathon. The Big Bend National Park, Terlingua, and Lajitas are roughly 100 miles away, and the drive is ruggedly beautiful.
The whole unit is yours and the dog park is available to you. On site private parking is available for up to 2 vehicles. Additional space is available if needed.

This property located close to town and easily accessible. You will have to drive down a narrow paved road, and there are two speedbumps (slow down). The unit is located behind a privacy fence built from 100+ year old fence posts repurposed for esthetics and maximum privacy without loosing the view.
Cerca del Cielo has a gravel circular drive and private/dedicated parking outside the yurt.
No smoking in our tiny home please ! You will be charged an additional $100 if you decide to smoke in the home to cover cleaning expenses.

Summary: My family loves to stay in yurts, and we absolutely fell in love with this one! The kids loved the loft bed, the decor is super cute, and we wish we could've stayed longer.

Summary: Canโ€™t say enough good things about staying here. Communication before, during, and after our stay was exemplary in every way. Very spacious and beautiful accommodations with too many thoughtful amenities to list. I was traveling with my 10-year old grandson and he was as enchanted with this yurt as I was (especially the loft and the bathtub). There were absolutely no problems or negatives with staying at this property, only pleasure. Alpine itself is a large-ish town but we found that some places werenโ€™t open when we were here in February, be prepared to be flexible and heed your hostโ€™s advice on bringing some food supplies with you if that kind of thing matters to to you or if you have small children. My grandson and I visited Big Bend, Marfa and explored Alpine from here. If you want a fun, luxurious stay that has all the amenities of home, you wonโ€™t be disappointed here!

Summary: This was such a comfortable and cool place to stay that Iโ€™ve already recommended it to several friends planning trips to the area. My husband liked it so much he said he would def have one on some land. (!)

Summary: Our family of five checked in New Yearโ€™s Eve and enjoyed our visit! The location between the National parks was why we chose Alpine. Gas stations, restaurants, and grocery stores made it easy for us to have what we needed even during the holidays. The kids loved the sleeping arrangements, especially the loft. Our teenager liked the bath, and the hostโ€™s little touches made it extra special and cozy. Check in and checkout were easy, and having heat on a chilly night to warm up after stargazing added comfort to an experience we will never forget!

Summary: We enjoyed our stay at Casa Estrella! This was the cutest yurt with great decor and furnishings. We had everything we needed and there was so much space. The design and layout was perfect. It was close enough to downtown yet you felt secluded which was exactly what we wanted.

Summary: I was blown away by this yurt! I stayed in another property on the site and saw the yurts but truly had no idea how amazing it was inside! It was absolutely spectacular! I had everything I needed, the nights were beautiful and quiet. The stars were amazing and the weather was cool in the mornings and nights, exactly what I head out for! The host was very communicative, and I ended up leaving something at the first house, and she kindly returned it and placed it in the yurt for my second stay. Highly recommend this home, and this post!
