Set in Thornton Gore in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, this four-season log house is a rustic and comfortable get-away. The house sits halfway up a grassy knoll, surrounded by open-field farmland and the White Mountain National Forest. Johnson Brook runs next to the dirt road. The house has an open kitchen-dining area, a large living room with cathedral ceiling and a field-stone fireplace, now with a glass-door wood-burning insert.

Major cross-country and downhill ski centers at Loon Mountain, Cannon, and Waterville Valley. In the summer, Loon Mountain provides rock wall climbing, bicycle rentals with down-hill bike trails, ZIP lines and more. The North Country Center for the Arts has a program of exciting plays and musicals in their home at Jean's Playhouse. Summer and Fall season attractions include Zip lines at Alpine Adventures, glacier caves at Lost River Resort, the famous Clark's Trading Post with the famous bear show and Wolfman.
