Positive: Simple but comfortable accommodations close to the Via Francigena trail. Good kitchen facilities: microwave, toaster, coffee maker, fridge and stove, with the added bonus of a washing machine! Easy check-in and good communications from the host, Bruno.

Positive: I chose this place because it is just off the Via Francigena route and close to an essential supermarket. Also I hoped to use the washing machine to do necessary laundry. It is a compact unit, in theory adequate for 1 night, if you can get things to work.
Negative: The 'single bed' is in fact a top bunk in a rickety bunk/futon combination and thus is a misrepresentation, besides being a probable inconvenience for persons with disabilities. There was no alternative bedding to use the futon. I could not get the cooker to work, nor the washing machine and dryer. I followed the brief notes in the studio and switched on some circuit breakers that seemed to be off. I rang Bruno, but no answer. The notes given suggest this is a regular occurrence. The symbols on the washing machine and dryer were impossible to decipher. What does it take to supply some simple instructions? A previous occupier's bed linen was still in the washing machine-clean or dirty I don't know. In the end I had to hand wash and eat cold. There were no curtains, only 2 pairs of part louvred metal folding shutters, one pair does not cover all the window opening. The result is daylight making sleep, desirable after a long walk difficult. The plug lifter to the bathroom sink is broken, so the sink could not be drained. I have since stayed in 2 other studios, both a higher standard and much cheaper.
