Welcome to Our Cozy Adirondack Home!
We were just featured in the 'I HEART NY' official tourism site as one of the 'coolest places in NY to stay!' We couldn't be more proud of this honor!
We’re a large, loving family who adores the Adirondacks—and we’re thrilled to share our second home with you! We are so proud of our house, this gorgeous part of the country, and the New York State official tourist agency recognizing us.
Our home is your perfect base camp for adventure and relaxation. Close to Lake George, Lake Placid, and Gore Mountain, you can explore as much as you want and come back to a cozy private retreat. Schroon Lake offers a gorgeous beach with clear lake water, and in the winter it freezes for ice fishing, ice skating at the town gazebo, and snowmobile tours right across the lake, great fishing, amazing hiking trails, and the Natural Stone Bridges and Caves just down the road. Did I mention there is an adorable 9-hole golf course in Schroon? Super close to the house, and it's gorgeous! In the winter, it doubles as a cool place to sled and take the kiddos! As travelers ourselves, we’ve done our best to create a rental that makes your stay as easy, carefree, and comfortable as possible.

All-Season Fun
Summer: Bicycles, a kayak, fishing poles, beach chairs, and a beach cart. The Schroon town beach is less than 1.5 miles away, and parking is free!
Winter: Sleds for the kids and that cozy hot tub after a snowy day. Our house is located on the Adirondack Snowmobile trail, and you can ride your snowmobiles (or rent from C&C rentals in town) from our driveway right onto the trail for hundreds of miles!
New mini cabin: A charming hideaway with a full bed, twin mattress, heat, electricity, and a smart TV.

Summary: Every year we visit Schroon Lake in October to gather with several of my family members. This house is a great location, close to town, and nicely secluded with lots of trees. It has a large open floor plan, good sized kitchen, and wrap around deck so everyone can spread out. The hot tub was great to relax in, and the fire pit had plenty of chairs for everyone to sit around the fire and make smores! Firewood was provided which was really great. The kids loved the game room. Mattresses and bedding were very comfortable. The carpet on the stairs didn't look freshly cleaned, so I gave cleanliness a 4, but overall this is a really great house!

Summary: This house is PERFECT for a large family vacation! We had seven adults and two dogs and there was plenty of space, every amenity you could ask for, location was perfect, private yet not far from the town. We cannot express what a wonderful vacation we all had together at this house. We are already discussing renting again next year! Thank you for your perfect home!

Summary: The loose moose lodge was the ideal location for our family getaway! With 7 adults and 5 kids, there was plenty of room for everyone. The location couldn’t have been better with less than a 5 minute drive from Schroon village and the public beach and within 30 minutes to many other local amenities, including Lake George. The host was very responsive and a pleasure to communicate with. Highly recommend!

Summary: Loose Moose Lodge was in the middle of a power outage that lasted an additional 36 hours after our arrival. Mary Jane had contacted us about the situation before our arrival. Lanterns were easily accessed. The cleaning crew did an exemplary job, making beds and preparing the facility with no electricity. We were a party of 13 ranging in age from 4 years to 70+. . The many bedrooms suited our family perfectly! The woods provide privacy, yet we’re close to Schroon Lake’s excellent swimming beach and shopping area. Seagle Music Festival is just a few miles up Charley Hill Rd where you can enjoy musicals and opera productions. The information book at the lodge helped us find activités such as Lumberjack mini-golf. We also went on several hikes. The hot tub, old fashioned video games, ping-pong, pool table, corn hole, badminton, darts, board games and the fire circle were enjoyed by all. Beds were comfortable; toiletries and towels for showers and the beach were plentiful. There’s also a large washer and dryer! Our whole family thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Summary: If you're looking for a place that is secluded but also close to a quaint town that has everything, this is the place for you. We stayed with six people, but the house could have easily fit double that it was the best place for a relaxing get away. Highlights for us were the quiet surroundings, the game room for the kids, the hot tub for mom, the hike down the road to Horseshoe Pond (where we found an actual horseshoe!) and the 3 minute drive into town to use the beach, go to restaurants, the food store, and even catch a movie in the old movie theater. Truly awesome place!

Summary: It's a beautiful place, plenty of activities to do around the house and downtown Schroon Lake has plenty of amenities too. We caught the eclipse in the back yard and had a spectacular time the whole weekend. The host was responsive when we had questions and was proactive in getting us the information we needed ahead of time.
