Positive: Louis is a warm, open, and caring host. He guided us via WhatsApp from Lusikisiki to the accommodation, which gave us a real sense of safety while driving on unpaved roads in the dark. He even brought us groceries from town and was always helpful. The accommodation is a small camp with two cozy bungalows, which he runs together with his mother, three friendly dogs, and a cat. The facilities are excellent—everything was clean and well-maintained. One of the highlights is the wide, beautiful view over the mountains all the way to the sea. A walk of about 25 minutes through the village leads to a picturesque waterfall. You get a truly authentic feeling of life in a South African village, far away from mass tourism. The villagers were very friendly and curious. Louis knows the entire village well and helps out with small agricultural jobs in the community. For us, the stay was an absolute highlight. We would return anytime and can highly recommend it to everyone.
Negative: There was no Wifi
Summary: Authentic accomodation with a caring host and stunning view

Positive: The location is beautiful. Once we understood how everything worked, we enjoyed the stay a lot. It would have been nice if there were a third rondawel available to our group as sharing one room with three others was not ideal for our group.
Summary: Transkei road trip.

Positive: Of all the bookings in the past two weeks, the kids enjoyed this one the most. I have to much to say. Louis was an exceptional host. Kept the kids entertained, added an extra sunset cruise a place you wont know exist, which was amazing on top of the visit to the spectacular Magva Falls and extra waterfalls standing under the waterfall was so nice. He shared a lot of interesting info of the old “Transkei” now Eastern Cape and the people we did not know. One of the most beautiful and clean places I have ever seen for sure. Not once did I feel unsafe in this area. We were greeted all the way through like we were royalty. These people are amazing and gentle. No photo or video can do the views here justice you have to see it for yourself. Driving through from Mthatha to Port St Johns and to Lusikisiki was so beautiful and well worth it.
Negative: The gravel road to the property was a bit long, uneven and very slippery after the rain but we did not have a 4x4 and we made it, absolutely worth it though - through the beautiful magical forests. Louis gave very clear instructions how to get there and offered to help if we get lost or stuck.
