Summary: We found everything to be as other reviewers stated. Quiet, clean, nice hostess, nice base to explore, etc. I would add that he pictures don't do justice to how large this place is. 8 people really could stay quite comfortably. Chickens run up to greet you every time you come out to the car park. You can buy eggs from them. We were asked for a 100 Euro cash deposit but got it back no problem. Laundry cost 5 Euros, but we didn't find that a problem with the rent being so cheap! There is no TV. We barely noticed. Pick this place. This is the one.

Summary: This is the second stay in the property for myself and my wife, and like last time it was amazing. The cleanliness of the property is off a very high standard both inside and outside. The property itself is beautiful and so are its surroundings. ` Petra and family are lovely and always happy to help, with information and other queries if needed. The location of the property was ideal for my wife and myself to visit the war memorials, and the surrounding towns and areas were lovely to explore. There is absolutely nothing negative to say about the property, both the first and second time have been a joy to experience Thank you for your hospitality. Mr&Mrs Whyte

Summary: We had a great time at this location. We used it as a central location to visit WWI and WWII sites. The cottage is very well renovated and maintained. The property owner was very nice and easy to deal with. I would recommend this spot to anyone willing to drive to where they want to go or just sit back and enjoy the countryside.

Summary: My Family and I greatly enjoyed our 4 nights in this modern, clean and welcoming holiday home, located literally a few metres inside Belgium, overlooking the French border. The location was perfect for exploring all of the WW1 battlefields, museums, monuments as well as Ypres being just a 20 minute car journey away. The 10 minute car journey back into France for the nearest large supermarkets also made life easy to purchase food to cook back at the house. The main living area was spacious, so too was the very large shower / utility room. Both bedrooms were equipped with a double bed and full size bunk beds (suitable for adults if required!). I would say the only facility missing from the property was the lack of TV / DVD player. It would have been nice to be able to "wind down" after a busy day exploring by watching a film etc. Petra speaks/writes excellent English and was extremely helpful both before and during the stay. I would thoroughly recommend this property to any family or small group looking to explore the Flanders region and will definitely look to hire this property again for a future trip to the area. Thank you Petra.

Summary: We loved it. We were doing a family history trip and it's a perfect location literally on the boarder on France and Belgium and perfect for Ypres and the WW1 trenches. The traveling distance to Ypres is only 20 minutes away, Bruges and Ghent is 1hr 15 away. The house was perfect for our needs. It was warm and clean. The beds are comfy, plenty of information regarding the surrounding area in various languages. The owners are really friendly and welcoming. We will be back and will be certainly be recommending it to our friends and family. If we could change one thing about the house and it would be to have a conventional oven. The oven that is at the house is a microwave / grill oven. It's a small point which didn't effect us as there are plenty of restaurants around and we ate out every night. But otherwise PERFECT
