3 Bedroom House in Washington

This traditional Louisiana cottage has front and back porches for coffee or cocktails. Beautifully appointed with Louisiana antiques and art, this 3 bedroom cottage is serene and inviting. Located 3 blocks from Main St and within walking distance to the Antique shops . The bird watching in this area is historic and celebrated every March. There are two Queen cypress beds upstairs with en suite bathrooms and the downstairs bedroom has twin beds with a full bath. The beds are from the Convent at Grand Coteau, Academy of the Sacred Heart and were made on site along with the armoire in the room. Each bathroom has a shower only. We are across the street from Magnolia Ridge plantation and just steps away from the Steamboat Warehouse restaurant.

Summary: This cottage was more than we expected. This older home was beautifully furnished with unique and quirky decor and vintage (or vintage looking) furniture. The garden was tranquil, and the neighborhood is quiet. There isn't much in town but the Steamboat Cafe around the block has incredible food! It's a short drive to several places and SO worth the stay if you're venturing south.

Summary: What an incredible stay we had at this VRBO property on Washington! It fit our needs to a “T” and then some. It had all we needed, every amenity was available on check in. It’s such a nice place. Cozy, room and peaceful. The back yard is a quiet oasis. The access to the freeway and being just a short drive to everything you need is wonderful! We absolutely loved it and we will DEFINITELY be back to stay here again this year for some two weddings we have coming up later this year. Thanks again Beth for everything. What a gem this place is nestled in the quaint town of Washington.

Summary: The home was very beautiful and was an older historic home. The local businesses were very friendly and Washington is a small quaint town. It was only a short drive, 10 minutes, to get to the bigger towns in the area. Would strongly recommend this home for a restful vacation.
