Autumn leaf peeping in this heavily forested area can’t be beat, and in the winter, bring your cold-weather gear, because ice fishing, snowmobiling, and ice skating abound. Kennebunkport is less than 15 miles away and you'll find downtown Sanford only five minutes west, with great restaurants and shops to check out.
