4 Bedroom House in Tirepied

This gite ‘Le Manoir de Crux’, for 9 people or more, is situated in the middle of a large enclosed garden, itself surrounded by fields and old trees (the lime tree is over 400 years old) with a beautiful panoramic view of the Normandy bocage!
It's an ideal place to spend a peaceful break with family and friends. Activities such as baking in the bread oven, pétanque and volleyball are also available. The annex, the former De Crux chapel, is used as a games room for table tennis and table football, to be shared with the Mélèze gite.
Manoir de Crux has a simple, rustic feel and offers all the comforts you could wish for, including a fully equipped kitchen, a living room with fireplace, a bright conservatory with access to the garden and a small bathroom. On the 1st and 2nd floors are the bedrooms and a bathroom, accessed via a stair tower.
The gîte contains an information booklet with addresses, telephone numbers and our favourites.
Kayaks and electric bikes can be hired nearby. This is a great way to discover the Bay of Mont Saint Michel. Bikes can be delivered if required. It is possible to have a well-being massage at home, but like the bikes, it is important to book in advance.
If you need it, the Mélèze for 6 people (advert no. 2062664 .) can be booked. The two gîtes are separate, i.e. they do not face each other, have a separate entrance, a separate terrace and a green and leisure area (barbecue, etc.) with garden furniture.
Thanks to the motorway and the 4-lane dual carriageway to Granville, this gîte offers quick access to the best-known sites of Mont Saint Michel, the sandy beaches of Normandy, Saint Malo in Brittany and much more.

Summary: One of the beds on second floor was uncomfortable, trip hazards for young children, particularly in kitchen area. On the plus side, the chateau is very well equipped, beautiful crockery, dishes and bowls. Stunning location, historic chateau with ancient aspects. We really enjoyed our stay and thank Katia and Gerhard for their attention to detail. We thoroughly recommend this property and its location.

Summary: What a dream! Everything about our stay was amazing. The home was so unique, once in a lifetime stay. Perfect space for our large family of 8. We were able to explore small towns around us and Mont Saint Michel with ease. But ask our kids, they would’ve stayed at this home, yard and game room forever! Katia was the sweetest host, giving us tips, being attentive and so warm to our kids. It felt like saying bye to family as we left this morning.

Summary: I have to say, after staying in many hotels and properties around the UK and Europe. This by far was the best one, well maintained, clean and picturesque. From the moment we drove up the tree lined driveway to the moment we drove back down it to go back to the UK, we felt at home. Beautiful location and very peaceful. Would highly recommend anyone to stay here. Will stay in the property if i'm in the area again

Summary: Love the location with easy access to majority of important things to see, shop and dine. Beautiful building and garden. Ground floor with lot of charme, nice features and well-equipped kitchen. Wi-Fi could be upgraded to more modern standards and expectations.

Summary: This could not have been anymore perfect for our family gathering and visit around the Normandy area. Set back on a quiet cul-de-sac just 10 minutes from the town of Avranches, this lovingly restored Norman estate had everything we needed. Two sides to rent in one large building which accommodated all of us very well. You have the option of renting out one side or both, depending on your needs. You can relax in complete privacy, anywhere on the property which is surrounded by fields.There is a beautiful view of Avranches in the distance, as well as Mont St. Michel. Lovely quiet roads to walk around the area. Donkeys and cows are there to greet you. Plenty of room in the two sides of the estate for all of us who numbered 14 over the weekend. All amenities are there and the owners, Dominique and Isabelle are just the next house down should you need anything. Very helpful with any of our questions and they have all the brochures and tips of what to see. available in the house. We enjoyed ping pong, tossing a football, the outdoor garden for relaxed meals with plenty of seating for everyone. Well-stocked kitchen(s) with seating in both the dining and kitchen areas. Bedrooms are comfy and clean. Do bring your own linens and towels if you want to save on an additional expense. I would go back again and again. Mary and family, Ottawa, Ontario

Summary: So close to a pleasant town, Avranches, which is also not far form Mt St Michel. There is ample space around the house Le Meleze, the smaller one of the two which we got assigned (four of us). We stayed for one week and had a nice week in this part of Normandie.
