Welcome to Dolphins and Dunes!
Our condo is conveniently located right off the large, glistening pool, where you'll find top-of-the-line Viking gas grilling stations and beautiful teak outdoor furnishings. It's the perfect spot to enjoy off-beach time in the sun with your family.
Inside, Dolphins and Dunes is beautifully decorated with large, comfortable furniture. You'll find a full-size gaming table with bumper pool, and the condo is fully stocked with everything you need to start your vacation hassle-free! The living area features a couch that seats 5-6 people and can convert to a queen-size bed (the sectional pieces move to create the bed).
The primary bedroom offers a king poster bed, and the second bedroom includes a twin-over-full bunk. Each room has its own large flat-screen TV with great movie selections and a variety of board games. Be sure to take advantage of the game table and wireless internet!
Dolphins and Dunes also includes access to all Sanctuary amenities, such as all three pools, courtyard Viking gas grills, and two fitness gyms. You will receive two parking passes: one reserved for this condo and one first come first serve parking in a covered parking garage.

Condominium amenities and grounds are managed, maintained, and scheduled for opening and closing by the local condo management association.

So grateful to have found this as we usually go to OC Md because they have multiple condo's for a multi-night stay. The place was perfect! So appreciate the owner's welcome gift too. Condo was updated and efficient! It was great to be able to head into the pool right outside our door after the beach. Love all the grills available in the Sanctuary for cooking too. The realty company was professional and easy to work with. Definite interest in returning!

Summary: The condo itself is spacious and modern. However, the building complex itself is disgustingly dirty. The place is over run with spiders, cobwebs and other bug infestations. The building is run down and shows signs of log term neglect. Pools were small and always overcrowded. Wouldn’t recommend any condo at The Sanctuary at False Cape!

It was quiet and the location near the pool was ideal for our family of two small children. However, I was not impressed with the cleanliness. Quite frankly, the condo was filthy. The rugs in the bathrooms were covered in sand when we arrived, food spills in the fridge, hair and flickering lights in the bathroom. One bathroom only had one working bulb. It was very dark and very dirty. The blankets on the couch had an odor along with old spills on the couch. On our final night there, I checked under the master bed to make sure we didn’t leave anything, and much to my surprise, I found someone’s shorts hanging from the bed frame that didn’t belong to our family. I did reach out to the rental company, and they promptly messaged me stating they would send the cleaning personnel back the following day. By that day, we had our stuff moved in and didn’t feel comfortable having someone cleaning around us. It should’ve already been done.Also, the refrigerator would occasionally leak water on the floor and no water and ice hookups on the fridge worked. We will not be returning to this unit.

Summary: Our stay at "Dolphins and Dunes" was very comfortable and very convenient to be oceanfront. There isn't much commercial on the 5 mile sandbridge stretch, so you'll need to do a 15/20 minute drive to get to major shopping. Not too far to main part of Virginia beach other. The apartment was a good size and was nice to be located next to a pool. The downers are that the pool can get crowded, there are a lot of mosquitos and biting insects (given the proximity to the wildlife refugee and because Sandbridge is essentially wetlands). The benefit of staying at Sanctuary complex is that two of the four restaurants/place to eat on the strip are located in the complex and across the street (Mexican Restaurant (Jose Tequilas) and an American Grill (Baja). For beach goers, it has a nice long stretch of beach that doesn't get too crowded like main part of Virginia beach and the water was pretty calm when we went there. For those who like to fish the Little Island Park pier is right next to the complex and is about 5-10 minute walk depending if you enter the pier from the parking lot or from walking down the beach. Overall, we had a good time and the property managers were very helpful and were proactive in making sure that we checked in okay.

Summary: Our stay in Sandbridge couldn't have been better! The condo had everything we needed and more. The decor was lovely, the kitchen was well stocked, and the beds were fabulous. Having access to the pools, bay, and beach within walking distance was amazing. It was awesome to give our kids some freedom to explore in such a safe family setting. Have a few restaurants in walking distance was also a nice treat. If you are looking for a lovely beach vacation, I would highly recommend these accommodations!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We booked this for our family of four, somewhat last minute and I was surprised a place this nice was still available. The resort/complex is outstanding, and this unit is great. Ground floor so easy access to the beach and garage without too much effort (it is one flight down, but you don't have to rely on the elevators). Very spacious, right off the Building B pool which my kids loved, short walk to the main pool and either side entrance to get to the beach. Would definitely stay here again without hesitation.
