Other Policy Please note: lukimbi safari lodge is approximately 45 minutes from the malelane gate. the kruger national park has strict opening and closing times, and guests will not be able to enter or leave the park outside of these times, the property therefore recommends that guests flying in to kruger mpumalanga international airport arrive at the airport between 11h00 and 12h00, but no later than 14h30 on the day of arrival, flights departing from kruger mpumalanga international airport should depart no earlier than 10h00 on the day of departure, the price includes all meals, tea and coffee and 2 game drives per day, please note, if there are children under the age of 8 years old, a private vehicle is required for game drives. this is available at a surcharge.please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. you can use the special requests box when booking, or contact the property directly using the contact details in your confirmation.

Positive: It was the best place I have ever been to. I did not expect such service. All the staff was very friendly. All the staff were like best friends who were constantly worried about us. There were more staff than guests in the lodge. The food was very tasty. The Internet worked reliably and we watched youtube. The Lodge area is very cozy and large. We did not think about anything and enjoyed being in this place. The safari was also great.

Positive: Beautiful setting and amazing staff.
Negative: Pre-trip it was really hard to find information about traveling to Kruger and what a day at the lodge would be like, as an individual that likes to be in control of their travel plans this was really uncomfortable, but we are so glad we stepped out of our comfort zone and booked Lukimbi without really knowing how we were getting there and what the experience would be like.
Summary: Amazing and perfect experience, only wish we had booked a 4th night!

Negative: Bedding could be made more comfortable.

Positive: We have stayed in Lukimbi Lodge for the 3rd time. The location is excellent and the staff was very friendly. However, this time we did not have the same exceptional experience like the first 2 times.
Negative: You could see that some renovation work is needed. The rooms are a bit worn out (also the gym). We thought it was related with COVID but some employees explained us that the concession for the lodge in the Kruger Park might run out and therefore no big investments are done. The major disappointment was that in the last night the roof was leaking and rain was falling directly on our bed and our pillow at 3 am in the night. There was no compensation offered by the lodge which is remarkable since we paid more than 1000 USD per night for this room!
Summary: Friendly staff but roof leaked at night time!
