Summary: Just after we arrived freak high winds battered the northern coast. The electricity was knocked out in the Ksar Sghir region making it impossible for us to complete our stay at the villa. The owner (Aziz) rescued the situation and through his brother (Mouhcine) arranged alternative accommodation for our party in Tangier. We would though have preferred to stay at the villa because it is away from the crowds, which suits our particular needs. The elements however are beyond human control and we are grateful to Aziz for finding a solution. The villa was clean, well equipped and very comfortable. Although in a fairly rural location there are small shops and restaurants within walking distance. We ate at the Super Diki and bought supplies there. It is situated on the main road with views out over the sea. The service is friendly, the fish menu depends upon what has been caught locally, is excellent and very reasonably priced. If you want to sample unpretentious good local food you must visit it (You may decide not to bother cooking for yourselves). The area is also well located for visits to much of the Moroccan part of the Med' coastline. Towns near by include the bustling Fnideq which is a favourite of mine and is less touristic than places such as Tangier. That is not to say one should not visit Tangier with its fascinating medina, but to get a more true taste of Morocco there are many hidden gems that lie off the beaten tourist tracks. I would definitely recommend this villa and am sure that Aziz will go that extra distance to ensure you are looked after.

Summary: We were fortunate to stay at the villa for 4 nights from 31st July to 4th August. The villa is located around 30 min drive along the coast to the east of Tangier city. The closest port is Tangier Med and Aziz (landlord) provided a driver to pick us up for a small fees.The driver was very understanding as our ferry had been delayed and we ended up arriving at 11 pm (word of advice: When catching Ferries ensure you are there at least two hours before departure and it's not unrealistic to expect cancellation and delays. We had a delay of 3 hours). The villa itself is located in a small village 5-10 mins drive to a larger coastal town. There is a beach within 10 minutes and a number of restaurants overlooking the sea. All rooms were equipped with air conditioning and there is a shower, bath and toilet downstairs as well as upstairs. The garden is well looked after and it was really nice sitting in the back during the evenings. Aziz also offers a 9 seat vehicle and driver, which we decided to hire for the length of our stay. Unfortunately, the driver was called away on an emergency but Aziz stepped in and provided the best experience ever. Aziz was very patient with our rather elastic timekeeping habits and took on the role of tour guide which was priceless, showing us all of the key historical landmarks the Madina, Kasbah etc. Definitely an unforgettable and pleasurable experience. Any small issues we did have at the villa, Aziz was at hand to resolve these promptly. As Aziz says "I am a people's man" and he wasn't wrong. What we liked most about the location was that near the turn off into the village there was this very large Tagine shop which sold a good verity of Tagines in all sizes, decorative ornaments and kitchenware etc. The prices were much lower than the prices in the city and the quality was outstanding. To top it all off, no tourists and no pushy sales people and it was open until midnight. All in all a great stay and highly recommended.

Summary: We had very nice holidays in KSar sghrir. The house was clean, big, quiet. Its good to make holidays with children. The whole area is wonderful to see, very nice beaches, great nature and many cities/towns around to visit. We also had a good contact to the owners and the "driver" who was looking for us and helped us always when we needed. The describtion is as good as the house. Thank you for everything and we like to come back as soon as possible :-)
