Lake Forest Lodge has a breathtaking view of Keuka Lake and is nestled on 3.5 acres of pines and hardwoods. This property has the best of both worlds as it also has lake frontage. The cabin has 3 levels: the main floor has a great room with gas fireplace, cozy eat-in kitchen, and spacious dining room that seats 10 comfortably. These rooms face the lake and boast an amazing view of Keuka Lake. Also located on the main level are 2 bedrooms and 1.5 baths. The lower level includes a sitting area with full size sleeper sofa, a bedroom, a full bath, spare fridge and washer and dryer. The third floor open loft has a charming log-framed bed. There are several large decks for relaxation and gathering for meals with family and friends in a private setting. LFL is located on the hillside across the road from the lake, which provides secluded and peaceful surroundings. Note: The lake frontage is accessed by walking or driving down our 'steep' driveway, crossing the road and continuing down the common/steep driveway where we have available 2 parking spaces. Approximately 50 stairs will lead you to the scenic deck and private dock.

Summary: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. It was an almost perfect late fall weekend and just loved being able to watch the sunrise from the comfort of our living room. Everything was as stated in the description. Having a heavy duty crew cab pickup presented an interesting endeavor getting turned around 😆, the driveway was very steep and not a ton of room. I managed. Skee Ball was a huge hit. Didn’t explore the dock since it was the last weekend of October. Would definitely consider staying there in the future. The host, Brian, was very responsive to questions.

Summary: House was gorgeous and very clean. The only part that was a problem was the driveway. It is very steep and with the rocks on it it made it difficult to drive up and down it. Other than that it was perfect for our stay.

Summary: We had a great time enjoying our yearly family get together here. This cabin is huge and has a ton of charm and character. Keuka lake is beautiful as always. Brian was diligent and provided all the info we needed to make our stay memorable. We highly recommend staying here.

Summary: We had such an amazing and relaxing week here (I say this while traveling with 3 teenagers) . The house had plenty of room and everything we needed. The property was absolutely gorgeous, very private and relaxing. There was plenty to do between the wineries (Bully Hill being our favorite and only 10 minutes away), kayaking, swimming and snorkeling (very clear waters), and hiking. The kids had great luck fishing right off the dock and really loved the skee ball machine. There was one day when it rained alot but we didn't mind because the huge living room comfortably fit us all for a movie day. Plus the rain made the waterfall on the property really come alive. Once the rain stopped, we sat on the deck watching and listening to it while eating dinner. The host, Brian, also checked in on us when the weather was bad that day and throughout the whole stay was always available for questions. We take a family vacation every year and I have to say this was one of our favorites... we have people from 15-80 years old and it had something for everyone to enjoy.

Summary: We rented a pontoon boat and tube which we kept docked at the private dock all week. Had so much fun exploring the lake and tubing every day. The views from the house are spectacular and we were able to catch a sunrise from the dock as well. LOVED this property so much - thank you!!

Summary: What a perfect place to be during a heat wave! The enormous deck is such a jewel of this property and was utilized in so many ways: coffee at the bar, Yahtzee tournaments and scrapbooking at the tables, full moon gazing, huge lake floatie command station, etc. The living room was perfect for whole group movie nights and HGTV marathons for the lazy mornings. The deck on the lake with the provided kayaks were so much fun and refreshing! Keuka lake is not really that busy with boaters and such, so if you're looking for some serenity, you can find it there. The driveway was scary the first time going up with a fully packed mini van, but after that, we got the hang of it. The surrounding towns of Hammondsport, Penn Yan, Watkins Glen etc. all seemed to close up shop pretty early (restaurants closing at 7, 8 and 9 pm) , so I recommend checking closing times when making your plans for the day. If you have kids, or even if you don't, I recommend Castel Grisch winery in Watkins Glen because it has dinosaurs. The owner is super nice and responded to emails/texts almost immediately. We had the best time.
